Yep, and I lived/live in Oregon, home of the real Odell Lake. It's sotta amusing that MECC made two games about Oregon. Minnesota not being on the Oregon Trail and the "Land of 10,000 lakes."
I think it would be brilliant for someone to make an Oregon trail skit where they have tv and electricity, but no cars.. so as they travel, such as “would you like to caulk the wagon and float across?” They have to watch a 10 second ad showing some expert Amish person caulking a wagon or something… maybe someone else is getting checked for cholera. Another person is tasting berries.
Hell yes! Spent some good times in Junior High computer lab playing this, Oregon Trail, Chessmaster, Math Football and many others. I just remember getting eaten all the damn time as I didn’t know to escape shallow or deep most of the time
As a Xennial who grew up in Minnesota, I absolutely played this in computer lab along with Oregon Trail, Number/Word Munchers, and one that was like Carmen San Diego but you followed around Mr. X, I can't remember the name of it.
Not exactly. You played as a fish and faced with different scenarios you could do things like
move to shallow water
move to deep water
eat
Most of what I remember happening is escaping bigger fish by moving to shallow water only to be eaten by an osprey.
