I tried to play bards tale 1 three years ago and I guess my zoomer brain couldn’t handle it cause I just thought it was boring and confusing but I am admittedly autistic so I might have been destined to have more fun creating character profiles with back stories than I was playing Bards tale 1.
Bards Tale 1 was humorous in a time when adventures weren’t quirky or weird for the most part, apart from Minsc and Boo in BG2 everyone thought the gameplay was kind of boring as well, but he story and world was extremely interesting. The idea that songs can be creatures with their own personalities is a great idea.
I think a lot of regards were misdiagnosed as "autistic". They just used that to label anyone who was underachieving in the years 1980-2010
