Ladies and Gentlemen, Aperture Aviation! To sum it up…👇 Pros: - Great people, great culture, no pressure to fly, no micro-managing - QOL is top-notch: 8/6 schedule, home-based, generous per diem - Almost $70k base + per diem flying a C206 Overall, as far as I’m aware, it’s hard to beat. But I’m just starting the case study thing on the newsletter, so I might be mistaken. (Big) Con: - Slow hours. Yeah, compared to other survey ops, it’s not a fast time-building gig, with good months averaging 50-60 hours and slow ones 15-25 hours. And all they require is a 500-hour CFII. So yeah. Want one of the best low time jobs out there? Get your CFI.

Hardest part is getting to the 500 hour mark. Still going to have to instruct for 2-300 hours.

I mean they should, but the only way to know is to submit a resume when they hire up (they currently aren’t, and bc of how good their reputation is, it’s as competitive as it gets)

$70k for a survey gig in a 206 sounds very reasonable. I’m in a fairly large survey company and I’m still under $50k flying a 206/310. In my part of the country, it’s pretty slow time building wise also

Best time building company. Period. Yes the hours are slow, but i enjoyed everyone one of the 3 years I was there. My flair comes from my time working there.

I worked for their sister company, same deal. They're amazing (except one small thing which was a big reason why I left). I had an early departure there but have plenty of great things to say about them.

70k in California? Well, expect to pay more than half your paycheck in rent for a 1bd apt. $4.63 for regular unleaded, and after health insurance, car insurance etc you'll be living poor. For three years... sounds like paradise.

yup, you’re given a per diem, not sure about the exact amount but people say it’s enough to avoid the lower tier hotels

it’s not “required” per say, heavily preferred. They conduct in-house recency training.
