The way mum made it, I would describe it as similar to a puff pastry because it puffs up and is crispy. And is definitely baked in beef drippings the way she did it, but different strokes.
As a lover of mustard, who has a bare minimum of five kinds of mustard in the house at all times, eating mustard on roast chicken is baffling to me. I've never seen anyone do that.
I always have standard yellow, dijon, coleman's, grainy, and Japanese as a default. Anything else is gravy. I love a green peppercorn, brown german, tarragon, white wine, really anything you can put in mustard, I'm down with it.
Honey mustard is an extremely common dipping sauce for chicken nuggets/tenders in America. I can't think of a fast food place that doesn't have it as an option
No shit. I dipped my tendies into not one, but two different mustard sauces at Popeyes today, but there’s a fuckload of difference between putting a mustard-sauce on a breaded tendie and straight up slathering roasted chicken with straight Coleman’s.

Chicken looks dry, roasties and yorkies look frozen. Veg isn’t roasted, it’s just been boiled. Gravy looks anaemic. The most appetising thing to me on that plate is the mustard.
traditionally you have mustard with beef, apple sauce with pork, mint sauce with lamb.
Maybe it is the condiment to go with it, but ive never seen it so i might be wrong.
Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire puddings will always have a place in my heart, maybe it's nostalgia or maybe it was my family's inability to make them from scratch and them always tasting horrendous if they tried. Everything else though.. food crime

My gran used to boil her veg and cremate her meat so this looks entirely scranable to me.

Not really comparable to a slice of bread. But its a great addition to a roast dinner. Not really much to understand, they taste great, they hold gravy and they taste great.

I live in dixie. A roast dinner is a bit of a rarity here. The closest thing I can think of is Barbecue. Comenly served with either cornbread or simple sandwich bread.

It's really hard to explain it, but i think the crunchy crepe/pancake would probably be in the ballpark. You could easily turn it into a sweet dish as well. They're delicious and a good change of texture to mix with veg/meat etc.
Nah, I mean a standard shape with a crispy outside and a slightly softer centre. Puds that are totally crispy just remind me of the frozen ones, which are generally not so good.

I bought that Coleman's mustard during Christmas because Gordon Ramsay uses it for his beef Wellington. That mustard definitely belongs in shittyfoodporn.

You can make some delicious chicken in the oven and it’s almost no effort.
Just season, cover, and wait. Try to use a pan that isn’t too big for the amount of chicken being made. Maybe broil the top of it if it has skin. Make it crispy and tasty.
All good UK food has seasoning. A lot of meat in the US is seasoned to the point that you can't even tell what it's supposed to be.
I had a lot of good food in the US, but there's definitely a tendency to cover up the taste of poor quality meat with excessive seasoning over there. Different tastes, i suppose.
