Which "lesser spotted" animals do you occassionally see?

Red squirrels, capercaillie, ptarmigan, pine martens, muntjac deer, reindeer, wild cats, ospreys and finally wallabies. Origin; north east Scotland.

Red kites, which apparently are rare and were almost wiped out in the UK but there was a reintroduction program near here several years back and now it seems you can’t look up without seeing one.

Out west and south ish of Newcastle and there's loads of them. Majestic as fuck. Saw a couple of buzzards the other day too. Which was nice.

Me either until I saw one outside of my work one morning! They escaped from a private collection (I believe) bred and are now quite a common site.

Is anyone else realising for the first time 'lesser spotted' means 'seldom seen' and does not imply an animal that can be identified by having relatively fewer spots than a very similar animal that has more? I'm 52.

So a big cat in Northumberland, killer wale of the west coast of Scotland, some times get hummingbird hawk -moths, there are Peregrine falcons living on the roof a of a build in my town and I haven't seen but go to sleep with the sound of owls outside my window.

I see wild boar daily, muntjac, hawfinches, bullfinches, lesser spotted woodpeckers( see what I did there).

I'd love to see those on a regular basis. I rarely see anything more exotic than a Hare, and I live in Finland, where we have lynx, bears, wolves, wolverines, etc!

I often see flocks of rose-ringed parakeets in my local park, even now in the winter. Its odd seeing a ‘tropical’ bird flapping around Kent but they seem to be spreading further.

I regularly see badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, owls and a variety of deer (near New Forest). Less often see kingfishers and otters in certain places. Elsewhere have seen boar a few times in the Forest of Dean
