>> Summary:
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because wall was already dead.
I've owned guns for over a decade and I've never had an ND because I don't randomly pull the trigger without visually confirming the gun is empty. Anon is a dumbass that makes an excuse for gun control smh
I've had one, not really my fault, though, friend bought an sks, we went to shoot it like 2nd day he had it, we had never checked the condition of the guns inside, turns out there was enough carbon in the bolt you could chip it out in whole chunks, so when we released the bolt on the 2nd or 3rd mag it just dumped the whole mag unexpectedly into the ground, pin was stuck.
Took way too long to clean that gun (then we thought we broke it for a bit somehow before realizing the gas block was off)
That's still a dumbass move by your friend. You should always inspect any used gun you buy to make sure its parts are good before you start firing. Otherwise you're risking it blowing up in your hands if the last owner really fucked it up
Additionally, you should never pick one up and manipulate it without properly verifying the state of the thing as soon as it's in your possession.
How fucking hard is it to check for the back of a round in the actual barrel? Faster, simpler, and more failure proof than "shoved my finger around the magwell and racked the slide like 4 times!!", lol...
There's a difference between fun and being a moron who puts other people in danger. This shit right here is why I'd be behind licensing/training reqs if done correctly.
Accidental discharges are such a slim number of overall gun deaths as to make them wholly irrelevant. Something like 1%. Also, anon is 100% making this shit up.
legitimately would reduce the amount of accidental deaths from regarded adults and children who somehow got access. Like just making sure people know how to handle and store their firearms isn't authoritarian, it's me wanting not wanting a stray to kill me or my kids
Would also massively increase accidental deaths in schools from idiots waving their guns in the wrong direction before they're taught trigger discipline.
Why the hell would you teach this in a school? You should get taught this at a gun store/firing range and have some kind of proof (license) that you've been through that period of learning before being allowed to buy a gun.
You're the one that brought up schools dude 😂 no one was advocating for gun safety classes in schools at all, you decided to randomly say that would be dangerous as if it was disagreeing with anyone 😂😂
Or even limiting access guns to would-be school shooters should gun storage training be mandatory and perhaps some legislation alongside it. Parents can't be wholly responsible for the sins of their children, but if they got the gun from your nightstand then yes you should be culpable
Guy almost kills someone fourteen times
@secondcondary: he was just having some fun bro why won't you let him have some fun bro, I've done this 22 times bro
I’m pretty sure it’s not real, because how could somebody that absentminded and stupid keep detailed track of the number, order and specific chains of events of each negligent discharge?
Anon should have his guns taken away from him and then be pistol whipped repeatedly until he can’t stand the sight of guns because of the trauma he suffered from.
Anon is completely retarded and apparently never learned anything about firearm safety, or even thought to, even after repeatedly firing unintended bullets at himself and others.
Literally the first thing anyone gets taught about firearms is how to avoid exactly this. Anon should be verifying the state of the firearms he uses and confirming that are unloaded or pointed at something that he intends to shoot before pulling the trigger.
Dude is going to shoot himself in the face some day while dreaming about Macho Man Randy Savage.
Usually too you should make sure the gun is emptied before you hand it to someone, and then they also check like 'oh yes it is in fact empty' then start pretending your cool.
A few of these are OP's friend handing him a loaded gun casually lol.
It does seem like OP follows the most important rule, don't point it at anything you intend to kill. Seems like he only shot floors and walls even with a room full of people. But still a dumbass.
It sends me to the roof when people casually just point a gun at someone and are like 'chill bro it's empty.' Yeah no, that's definitely been the last thing a lot of people have heard. Even if I watched you clear the chamber don't point that shit at me.
In the german military the first rule of gun safety is a gun is always treated as if it is loaded.
So even if you checked seconds ago you don’t point it at someone or something you don’t want to shoot.
Before entering a building with a gun you and another person have to check your gun for if it‘s loaded and clear each other that way.
>It sends me to the roof when people casually just point a gun at someone and are like 'chill bro it's empty.'
There is cop in my country who did that joke multiple times to his colleagues, until he killed of them. He destroyed two lives for a stupid joke.
I mean, I always ask if I don't know. And usually if someone hands me a gun they tell me whether it's loaded. And then I check anyway.
If you get passed a pistol and there's a mag in it, you remove it and check the mag. If the slide isn't racked, you rack it or at least peek inside. Anon is super dumb. I have never had a ND.
Sorry, what? Availability of guns has little to do with how responsibly those who own them use them. Regulations around licensing and firearms safety training might.
You could remove nine out of every ten guns from circulation and anon would still have a list of times he was a dumbass and shot one off accidentally. You could also put ten times more guns into circulation, require firearms safety training as a prerequisite to their use as we do with cars, and see this list disappear.
literally the first thing they tell you is to never put your finger on the trigerr unless firing
and always to check if its loaded, always treat it likes its loaded, oh and make sure to check the chamber.
> Dude is going to shoot himself in the face some day while dreaming about Macho Man Randy Savage.
And if he’s the only one killed or injured, then nothing of value will have been lost. Unfortunately idiots like this tend to involve others.
>he racks the gun multiple times without a mag and nothing ejects shouldnt the gun be empty?
Yes, but you should verify this by looking at the chamber to make sure there's nothing in there.
It's still fake, though. Nobody owns multiple Sigs and sleeps with a High-Point.
This is why the second amendment is flawed. Not EVERYONE should have the right to bear arms. I really think it should be a driver license thing once u demonstrate your ability to handle weapons and can prove u can be accurate I won't have nightmares of grandma having to fire her .44 with bad macular degeneration.
"You get used to them"

Anyone who reads this who wants to get into guns: If you get used to fucking up when handling guns, then you probably shouldnt own a gun. Never forget that a guns primary and damn near only purpose is destruction.
A hunting rifle's primary purpose is to be used to hunt and kill animals.
A knife's primary function is to generally cut things, like rope, food etc.
A hammer's primary function is usually to put nails into things.
A pistol's, shotgun's, AR's etc. primary purpose is to FUCKIN KILL PEOPLE.
They are NOT fuckin toys, they are tools of MURDER, and if someone can't treat them with the respect and fearfulness they deserve, then said someone should simply not be anywhere near one.
Sure, because there are generally tighter requirements that basically make guns only appealing for hunters. But, uh, "most civilian owned guns" are sold in the US... by a huge margin.
90% of the shotguns in basically any gun shop are black plastic piece of shit Mossbergs. Those aren't being used for hunting. I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of shoguns sold in the last 20 years or so were never used for anything related to hunting. A lot of the tacticool dipshits who buy crappy PSA ARs also end up adding a 'tactical' shotgun to their arsenal.
> 90% of the shotguns in basically any gun shop are black plastic piece of shit Mossbergs. Those aren't being used for hunting.
You do realize lots of poor people hunt in rural areas. My uncle hunts rather regularly with a cheap walmart shotgun he got like 20 years ago at this point. It does the job, the entire notion of hunting being this aristocratic thing is not really true... sure it exists but plenty of people are just out there taking a deer and freezing it in their garage for meat over an extended period.
This is my exact thought, as well. Something like a million shotguns are sold in the US each year. Most of them probably sit in a case or on a shelf somewhere, some others get a little bit of range time, and then some fraction of those actually get used for hunting.
Probably roughly about the same as rifles here in Norway. The remaining being for competition shooting.
You use shotguns for birds and small game primarily. Same with .22s.
I was commenting on what weapons are for. Neither me nor the person I replied to mentioned America. A shotgun is made to hunt. The same way a hunting rifle is. And they’re both about equally good at killing a man, because killing is their primary use case.
>I was commenting on what weapons are for
Sure, and I said I was curious about what percentage of those weapons are used for their intended purpose.
>Neither me nor the person I replied to mentioned America.
Norway's gun market is a tiny fraction of America's; by capita, Norwegians own a quarter of the guns. If I'm asking "what percentage of shotguns sold are ever used for hunting",
>A shotgun is made to hunt
Most shotguns, sure, but some others are not.
You’d have to go looking for the relevant statistics I suppose. Home invasion shootings, gun ownership by types. Competition participation numbers by type. Of course, with the incredibly relaxed laws of the US, ownership numbers don’t meaningfully exist, unlike in say Norway.
But America is the Spider George of gun statistics. They have damn near twice the guns per capita compared to the runner up. So it all depends on if you go by mean or average as well
>But America is the Spider George of gun statistics. They have damn near twice the guns per capita compared to the runner up.
Well, the thing is that America is a massive city of Spiders Georg, and places like Norway are little villages. It's 330 million people spanning much of an entire continent; treating it like an outlier is just misguided.
I tend to explain to Europeans as more like 4 or 5 countries. Like the difference between, say, Alabama and Arkansas is fairly minimal. But you can roughly group states into a few categories.
I would assume it's extremely high. Anyone hunting birds, small mammals like squirrels, racoon, rabbit etc is highly likely to be using a shotgun for it. And in MANY states, the only guns legal to hunt deer with is a shotgun with slugs. A shotgun is effective for self defense, but you're limited on magazine capacity. A pistol is much easier to manage indoors and easier to hide. A rifle is easier for a less experienced person with regards to recoil and follow up shots.
*A shotgun’s primary purpose is hunting winged game animals (it’s just that, like with all firearms, throwing lead at someone really fast kills them. Who woulda thunked it?)
You can shoot at targets with an air-soft. Did you buy the gun solely for target practice?
Don't act dumb, you know what the reason for buying guns is, self defense.
Which is accomplished because guns are made for killing people.
>Did you yours solely for target practice?
More or less? I kind of doubt the efficacy of a Mosin or 1873 Springfield trapdoor rifle for home defense.
There are reasons to get guns other than shooting people. Maybe I just like the history behind them or find them fun to take to the range?
I only use my bombs in safe bombing ranges and only because I like the history behind them!
For that reason, bombs aren’t built for the purpose of destruction!
Fun fact you can own grenade launchers and even 3d print them legally as a United States citizen? Did you also know that New York is trying to make 3d printers illegal and that you need a license to buy them because they can be used to produce reliable firearms?
I mean, sure, a bomb's purpose is to destroy things. You could use it to destroy property or harm people, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will be used for that. You could destroy something in a way that is never harmful to anyone else, which still fulfills the purpose of the bomb.
A gun is designed to fire bullets at a given target, but the target is up to the user. I could go buy a plinking rifle and use it for shooting targets or buy a shotgun and use it for shooting deer. The manufacturer may or may not have made it with the purpose of shooting people, but whether someone actually does so is dependent on the individual.
I think rather than just passing knee-jerk reaction laws to ban certain types of guns or all of them, you could put a lot more effort into combating the reasons people would choose to harm one another. Things like mental illness, gang violence, and suicide are related to illegal gun use, but it's hard to say that the cause was simply the gun existing. You have places like the UK that have heavily regulated guns but continue to have crimes related to knives and other weapons. They continue to crack down on the weapons used, but the underlying causes for people to use them remain.
ARs, chambered in either .223/5.56 or .308/7.62 NATO, are still reliable rifles to use while hunting. Especially if you’re hunting larger pests like coyotes or wild boars. I get I won’t be changing your mind on firearms, but for anyone else, many modern semi automatic firearms still fulfill roles other than just hurting another person.
Also, there’s plenty of .223 rounds specifically designed for deer hunting. An AR15 can be an amazing rifle for hunting deers, especially when in areas with more dangerous wildlife.
A shotgun's primary purpose is hunting, they are just incredibly effective on people. This is why most shotgun practice is done by simulating the flight of birds, or the run of a rabbit.
>A pistol's, shotgun's, AR's etc. primary purpose is to FUCKIN KILL PEOPLE.
Shotguns are significantly better against many animals like bears, moose, coyotes etc, for defense purposes, than a hunting rifle.
It's also significantly more effective at shooting birds which are hard to hit. That's actually it's original purpose. It's an evolution of the blunderbuss and then musket spreadshot.
In the military they were used as well but they were more niche. More accurate long range single shot and then later bolt action weapons were preferred, before semi-automatic and automatic weapons obviously.
A "hunting rifle" is whatever rifle you're using to hunt with. That can be almost any rifle.
Most shotguns are for hunting. Seriously it's not even close. It's such a versatile platform from duck to deer you just need the right load for what you're hunting.
ARs make a great hunting platform. It does come in multiple calibers you can choose from depending on what you're hunting.
Pistols are primarily for self defense against bear, cougar, human, and whatever else is a threat to your life. So I guess I'll give you that one considering some humans are some of the most dangerous things you can run into.
I used to live in a house with a bunch of people, like a college kid in the 2000s would. We called the guy who lived in the basement "dungeon troll" because he was basically a dungeon troll. I stopped going to the "range" - some land he was nominally allowed to mag dump into trash on - after watching him flag 3 people and then meeting there protestations with "It's not loaded, there's no mag" then firing the one in the chamber into the dirt. Dude ended up accidentally shooting himself through the thigh one night while we were all home. MFer forgot that Glock clones, like Glocks, can only be de-cocked by pulling the trigger. Ended up nearly dying and we kicked him out while he was still on crutches.
Yeah, and that's why the whole "treat every gun as if it's loaded, even if you cleared it yourself" lesson is drilled into you at basic safety courses. Even experienced shooters don't know every gun and its quirks.
I'm all for the 2nd amendment and the right to own boom sticks, but for christ's sake there should be at least some education that goes along with it.
And I'm against to any gun ownership that is not in the form of some highly checked and accountable profession, because this is idiocy, it can not be removed by education, and it effects a massive part of the population.
When I talk about accountable professions I talk about real police forces, not the 'mafia with badges' that the US has.
That’s my take. You should need to have a permit to purchase or own a gun, and in order to get said permit, you need to take a mandatory safety course.
When people say they're in favor of regulating firearms in the US, this is the kind of person they're actually wanting to prevent owning guns. Not anyone that actually knows what they're doing with them.
Rule 1: never under any circumstances point the gun at anything you're not ready to destroy
Rule 2: it's always loaded. Even when it isn't. Bullets are magic and will teleport into the chamber when you're not looking
Rule 3: wear earplugs unless you want tinnitus. Guns irl are a *lot* louder than they are in movies
No, they are not common unless you are an unsafe retard. Most gun owners will never have one their whole live. This seems counter intuitive but it's not hard to be safe with your gun but it's easy to be unsafe with it if that makes sense. Pay attention, never point it at anybody or in an unsafe direction, keep your finger off the trigger unless you're shooting, treat the gun as if it's always loaded, etc and you'll never have an issue. It's not hard, it just requires awareness.
Are you referring to the first scenario where he is decocking the gun? If so, when you decock the pistol you have to hold the hammer while pulling the trigger to decock. You slowly let the hammer down to keep it from going off. Many newer hammer fired guns have a dedicated decocker on them that allows you to put the hammer down safely with ever touching the trigger.
they're not. anon is just an idiot. just never point the gun at someone or something unless you plan to fire. not even as a joke. never put your finger on the trigger till you're about to shoot. as long as you respect and acknowledge the responsibility and power that comes with a firearm by following those two rules you won't have any ND.
Right? I’ve been around guns my whole life, own several, personally cleaned loads, and have never experienced one either from myself or others. Dude is a fucking moron
Yeah I still remember looking down the barrel of my BB gun when I was like 8 or 9 and my grandpa going apeshit about it. Never forgot gun safety after his speech afterword.
Gun nuts are idiots. Every. Single. One. "Cultured" collectors and straight up hillbillies, the whole lot of them are idiots.
The best ones are the aware ones, of the stupidity that is keeping a tool to kill people as some kind of toy to show off.
I am hesitant about the legitimacy of these stories but if even one is true, anon should never have a gun again. Especially if one of the true ones is one of the several involving drinking. (What I would like to believe is)Generally unnecessary PSA here: DONT MIX ALCOHOL AND GUNS, I DONT CARE HOW WELL YOU KNOW THE GUN OR GUNS IN GENERAL
Anon's luck will run out soon.
I commented this yesterday, but I have a cousin who has negligently discharged in his house at least 3 times I know of, while doing tactical reloads in front of the mirror. After the third time, I *think* he stopped larping, but I kind of doubt it.
More stories but... yeah it's people like this that give gun owners a bad rap
Or just use spent casings. Snap rounds aren’t really that needed for modern firearms when dry firing or doing drills. If you have a modern firearm and the firing pin gets fucked up from dry firing, you bought a shitty gun.
I’ve been shooting since I was a kid. I’ve thrown thousands of rounds down the range from every type of gun you can think of. I have never, ever, had a ND. Even aiming down range. Not once has a bullet come out of any of my guns unless I specifically wanted it to. Because gun safety was drilled into me. Anon needs to be jailed if this is real.
Fifteenth time
>had my recreational howitzer in my living room
>thought it was unloaded
>hear something on the other side of my door
>jokingly point at the door and pull the trigger
>there’s now a very big hole in my door
>I hear a thud of something falling to the ground
>ohfuck.avi
>I run over
>open the door
>get on the floor
>everybody walk the dinosaur
Huh. I remember seeing it a few times and I thought he was only up to like 8-9 ND when I saw it. I just assumed I was fake and gay and didn’t remember properly.
When they outright used the phrase "playing with" when describing the slamfire. People actually that stupid make excuses to say they're doing something else.
I agree. There's no possible way someone could be this stupid. This is ascended stupid, beyond sibgle digit IQ. Levels of stupid like this shouldn't even be possible.
I wish it was but no, some people are deliberately stupid with guns, kids especially. They think it's funny. People like this are why "redneck" is still used as a slur where I'm from.
Americans and their fucking guns. I fucking wish that their politicians would finnaly take that NRA dick outta their asses and actually instill a proper universal background check and impose firearm safety and handeling licenses. Atleast 3 months of taking tests and classes before even being consodered to buy a gun. But no, they can buy a fucking anti tank missiles in a fucking walmart
This has to be bait, neither myself or any of the gun owners I know have ever had a ND. You have to be a special kind of stupid to fuck up like this especially four fucking times.
If this is real, we can only hope #5 hits him and not some innocent bystander
anon is fucking stupid for pulling the trigger at all when he's not trying to fire a gun. nobody needs to be shown how to pull a trigger go fuck yourself.
This guy is a fucking idiot.
“Forgetting” is not a valid reason, because you should ALWAYS treat a gun as if it is loaded. You can’t forget that it’s loaded if you always assume it is.
I’m not gonna lie and say NDs never happen to smart people. It only takes a moment of carelessness. If you are obeying the “rules” then nothing too bad should happen and hopefully you learn a lesson.
I know a couple guys who have been around guns their entire lives and have had an ND. Don’t think it won’t happen to you. Hopefully though it never does.
In my entire life, having grown up shooting guns, then joining the military and shooting more there, I have NDed once.
My father was letting me shoot his match .22, and warned me that it had a hair trigger. I was holding the pistol up and downrange, then when I was lifting the pistol to my target, it went off. Shocked, I put the pistol down immediately to find out what had happened. Noticed my father was standing way farther behind me than usual, and he told me that he knew I was going to ND, so made sure to be farther back. He explained that I had developed a habit (from the Army, yaaaaaaay) of putting my finger on the trigger before I was ready to actually release a round. Fixed that right up.
And specifically, it wasn't even a full pad on the trigger, just a bit of finger on the corner of the trigger. His pistol was sensitive enough that nearly any touch to the trigger would fire a round.
#This is why gun safety is stressed so heavily to new users.
1. **Treat every gun as an always-loaded gun.** It sounds silly, but it prevents **so many** negligent discharges. If you think a gun is loaded but itt isn't, no negligent discharge. No one gets hurt. If you think a gun isn't loaded but it is, people can get hurt and/or die.
2. **Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot.** Can't accidentally shoot and injure/kill someone if your finger doesn't touch the trigger.
3. **Never point your firearm at something you don't want to destroy.** This goes hand-in-hand with Rule 1, and arguably isn't separate. But it's worth re-emphasizing because if a negligent discharge _does_ happen, it's better to have it happen at a target or a sand-filled clearing barrel than at someone's gut.
4. **When clearing the gun, check more times than you think is necessary.** When my company (security) was doing armed officer training, our instructions were to remove the magazine, rack the slider (it spits out the whole round as if it were an empty shell) three times, visually inspect the chamber, and then stick our finger inside the chamber and feel around to make sure there is no mistake. Typically the gun is clear after the first rack. But sometimes things jam, and that can make things can become dangerous. Better to be careful than dead or injured.
It's annoying to get these rules rehashed at you for the 50th time, but they keep people safe. If you enjoy firearms as a hobby, you **must** know and abide by these rules. Otherwise, people get hurt.
I really wish "Firearm Safety" and a supervised shooting practice at a range was mandatory before you could purchase a gun. It's not to prevent people from rising up, it's to keep them safe.
I negligent discharged down a range one time and it was one of the scariest things that’s ever happened to me. Luckily, I’m safe enough with firearms that no one was even close to being injured.
Long story short: I was breaking in a new single stack 9mm Walther that kept jamming, double feeding, etc. I took the magazine out because it was giving me a hell of a time and ejected the round in the chamber. I pointed the gun down range to decock the internal hammer (mind you, no magazine + the round had just clattered from the chamber onto the bench), pulled the trigger, and *bang*. The gun went off because somehow (I still don’t know exactly how but this is what I assume happened) the round that came out was double fed, pressing against a round in the chamber (I guess I didn’t notice the gap between the slide and the chamber) and after the round ejected there was still one in the chamber. Luckily, the gun was pointed down range and it just looked like I had chosen to fire the gun with one hand for some reason. Of course, the guy with me knew that wasn’t the case as soon as I looked at him like I had just scared myself half to death. So, basically, gun safety pays. 🤷🏻♂️
Next time someone asks me to give them a good reason why we should have gun control, my answer is going to be “bitch, I got 14!” and then reference this post
Number 6 sounds like he's cursed, Number 8 and 10 are him being overwhelmingly stupid, the rest sound like unfortunate accidents or *mild* moments of foolishness
It's both impressive and concerning how anon had so many incidents but remember all of them. I really thought the closing statement would be something like "that's why you be careful around guns" but this is 4chan.
I’m going to echo the same thing as other commenters have said: ND’s are *NOT* “part of owning guns”, and if you are “used to them”, you should absolutely not be allowed anywhere near a firearm. People kill themselves and others accidentally all the time by being careless with guns, waving them around, “accidentally” having their finger on the trigger, etc. All of the incidents described in this story (assuming it’s true, which thankfully I don’t think it is) would have been 100% avoidable had Anon been following the most basic rules of gun safety.
This is bait but if anon is 100% telling the truth, mf is an SCP that causes the gun to shoot even if it's loaded and needs an MTF to detain him until he pulls the trigger on the "disarmed" nuke.
ACTS and PROVE
Assume the firearm is loaded
Control the direction that firearm is pointed
Trigger: Keep your finger off the trigger
See that the firearm is safe (leads into PROVE)
Point the firearm in a safe direction
Remove magazines and cartridges
Observe the chamber
Verify the feeding path
Examine the bore
Racking the bolt/slide is not enough. If your extractor fails, you can still have a live round chambered. You need to see that it's clear, even better if you feel it as well.
Anon shouldn't be allowed to own guns until he learns to practice these safety rules every single time he handles firearms.
I knew a guy who started concealed carrying tactical pistols. He has severe ADHD and would literally play with a loaded gun in place of a fidget spinner.
I stopped hanging around him after his first desk pop.
Anon is irresponsible and shouldn’t be handling weapons with this mindset. I have only ever ND’d once, with my rifle pointed down a hot range, and it still shouldn’t have happened. Don’t be like anon.
And yet, I've never had a ND. Considering how many times an unloaded gun went off in this story, I wonder if he is actually haunted and the gun fairies are fucking with him after doing it so many times on his own.
No fairies unfortunately, anon’s just a moron that forgets one key part of clearing a gun. CHECK THE CHAMBER/BARREL FOR ANY OBSTRUCTIONS (AKA a round).
Sometimes one’ll get stuck in the chamber and won’t eject when you rack the gun, so the whole “drop mag, rack gun, ok we’re good time to pull the trigger I guess” process is just painful to read
Nah, Anon clearly has gun fairies if he's this bad at owning a gun. Gun fairies don't help you shoot someone, they just pick on people dumb enough to shoot someone and try to make them realise how dumb you are before you actually shoot someone.
If you own a gun over a year without NDing at least once, you aren't handling it enough. NDs are a natural part of handling weapons, just like tweaking your back is part of weightlifting and car accidents are part of driving. I ND several times a year because I actually HANDLE and know how to USE my weapons. It makes me a better firearms handler and marksman, and it's a small part of the price you pay in the sheepdog lifestyle
Simple fact is, the "safety mentality" will build mental blocks in your head that will get you killed. You need to be comfortable putting your finger on the trigger and pointing the gun wherever you want no matter the time, place, or status of the weapon. Taking time to check whether the gun is loaded whenever you pick one up will serve to make you hesitate in a personal defense scenario. You fucking safety freaks are going to get people killed all because of this fucking "ND" shaming. Guns are inherently dangerous, you need to accept it.
Iv had one ND in my life, I was a child and it scared the fuck out of me and I'll never let that happen again. My man is a threat to himself and others
Pretty sure half of these are fake, but even still NDs are not normal or common in any way shape or form. Anon had 14 good chances to hurt or kill someone there, and he's insanely lucky he didn't. Being safe with guns isn't that hard, and it's important to learn the rules so you don't end up like this dipshit.
Imagine thinking negligent discharges are just part of owning a gun. If you’re following proper firearm safety, that should NEVER happen.
Dipshits like OP are the reason people think gun owners are unhinged or ignorant. I promise that the average gun owner does not allow shit like this to happen.
What the actual fuck Anon.
Drinking with guns, randomly pulling the trigger, forgetting literally every safety precaution... Bro is the poster child for why people wanna ban guns.
I’ve always checked mag, barrel, and double rack before I even remotely think about pulling the trigger. Never had an ND. I won’t argue this kid needs to lose his guns, but he needs to be a lot more careful before he hurts someone or himself. And I don’t believe him when he says “I checked it, it was clear, then it fired a round!” Bullshit.
Lose them, maybe not. Have them temporarily taken until he completes (maybe multiple) gun safety classes (regarding cleaning and handling firearms) so he doesn’t fucking kill somebody while being a moron? Abso friggin lutely.
Idk why all these comments are so negative. Not everyone Is neurolotypical and sometimes a few negligent discharges are needed to learn safe firearm handling.
I've grown up around guns and handled several hundred different guns (parents are FFL dealers) and have owned over 15 different guns myself. Not once have I ever had a ND because I'm not a fucking dumbass.
Treat every gun like it's loaded regardless of if you have cleared it or not and you will never have a ND happen. The OP in this green text is a legitimate fucking moron and should have his guns taken from him.
Honestly anon is practicing proper gun safety here. In all of these examples he wasnt aiming at anybody despite believing the guns werent loaded. Very responsible
TREAT EVERY GUN AS IF IT'S LOADED
AlWAYS KEEP IT POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION
ALWAYS BE CERTAIN OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEHIND IT
KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF OF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU'RE READY TO SHOOT
This bastard is an idiot.
“You shouldn’t feel bad about NDs”
YES YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD DEGENERATE. I’ve owned a mossberg pump since I was a fucking child. There’s pictures of me with my mouth on the barrel. I’m by no means a responsible gun owner but I have yet to have a SINGLE ND and it stays loaded.
I’ve owned guns 40 years and I’ve never had a single accidental discharge.
Maybe because I don’t sit around finger-fucking weapons like a hillbilly. Guns are tools, would you sit around toying with a skillsaw for shits and giggles? Lock them up unless you’re heading to the range or YOU ACTUALLY NEED TO USE THEM.
The 3 first and most important golden rules of gun safety:
1. Check if its really unloaded and secured (magazin out so you dont end up accidentally chabering a round, and ALWAYS!!! check the chamber)
2. DO NOT aim at people or things you dont want to shoot. (That includes while just holding it, just point the barrel at the floor (EVEN IF UNLOADED))
3. DO NOT touch the trigger if you dont want to shoot (aim first and then put the finger on the trigger)
I live in a country with gun-regulations and you can only get them if you have a license. To get a license you have to take a course and a psychological test. And in that course they make sure you keep that rules in mind.
Qualifying to own guns should require:
\-Vision test.
\-Physical evaluation (akin to a medical check up)
\-Psych test
\-Range test.
\-Background check.
Could be a license with a five year renewal period. Lot of countries do something similar.
I love guns and a few hoops to own a life taking machine doesn't seem like much to keep my society safe.
Of all the greentext I’ve read this one pushes my buttons the worst. I’m in disbelief you could be this reckless. Praying it’s just bait lmao. Dude needs to locked away. Any one of those times it could’ve hit someone or multiple people
No gun owner is this stupid AND still alive AND not in jail.
This is fake/parody, probably for us dumb ass redditfags
There are negligent discharges and accidental discharges.
You never get used to either, and never should.
Thought this was legit until the John Cena one. 14 times is ridiculous 😂 if true anon is literally unfit for the second amendment and laws should be made based on his fuck ups
As long as the law is “this specific motherfucker can no longer have any projectile weapon more dangerous than a nerf gun,” I’m good with it.
If not fake, he’s apparently ND’d almost literally every type of weapon, so it isn’t like banning one will stop him.
Central American death cults with ritual sacrifices to prevent the end of the world were right; America knows this and allows all of the world to continue by bravely sacrificing these children. You're welcome
Going to a gun safety course is the fastest way to figure out you don’t ever want to be near your fellow humans with a loaded weapon.
I got my safety cert but never bothered with the permit because I never want to be around gun people after that experience. Based on my experience, less than 5% of the population is qualified to handle deadly weapons.
“Think maybe the house is haunted” is the part where I always lose it. Not only is it funny because of the sudden spike in absurdity from the previous five stories, but it’s also hilarious that Anon planned on battling ghosts with a gun.
Does anon not know what the safety feature is? Fuck up once, shame on you, fuck up twice, still shame on you, fuck up three or more times and you really should not have any contact with any weapon more lethal than a butter knife
"You get used to them"
Used to what? Anon's 2 braincells being mentally retarded? It really is not hard to handle firearms if you aren't outright stupid. I know redneck idiots that can handle firearms safely. Anon is next-level dumb if this post isn't fraudulent and homosexual
Yeah this just confirms it, we don't need any kind of gun legislation. Retards like this absolutely deserve to own a lethal weapon, thank god I vote to the right. I was almost worried I wouldn't have a neighbor like this protecting me. God saves all, remember to vote trump, AMEN!
This is fake/bait. I've personally known only 1 guy to ND in a residential area. Cops were called immediately and he was arrested and charged.
No way someone would ND 13 times, nearly half of them in a house, probably neighbors nearby and not get authorities called on them at least once.
Lmao apparently I’m not a gun guy cuz Iv never fired unintentionally. Tbf I stick with my handful I know, and whenever I’m “messing about” rule one is to make sure it’s unloaded lol. I thought gun/hunter safety classes were common sense, apparently not XD
You're a disgrace and a liability. You're a good argument against the 2nd.
It's the first fucking rule, guy. You're an utter failure.
If you had lost a finger for every ND at least the problem would have solved itself. Holy shit, you're dangerous due to ineptitude, not skill.
A few years ago I had some homies in the apartment and we chilling and blazing. The one person who is ex Army desk pops a hollow point into the ceiling. The upstairs neighbor was fine
I'm by no means a gun aficionado, but for over the past decade, I've owned multiple and both shot for sport and carried for work. I'd like to see if I can transcribe the idiocy above.
1. I am drinking and operating a firearm. I have decided to load the gun for no reason. Too drunk to control fingers and slip because I thought it was a good idea to operate a firearm while drunk.
2. *Think* not check gun is empty "wrack" the slide with a loaded magazine (this is called chambering a round, making the gun ready to fire) and then proceeded to pull the trigger for no reason. Gun does exactly what I told it to.
3. I think it's a good idea to try and disassemble a gun without even bothering to check if it's chambered for some fucking reason. Proceeded to pull trigger for no reason again. Gun does exactly what I told it to.
4. "Playing" with friends **obviously loaded** gun. Release bolt for no reason manually firing the gun that I loaded for no reason. Gun does exactly what I told it to.
5. Showing someone the gun. I have lowered nothing and still have loaded the gun for no reason. I am too special to realize I have chambered a round for firing. **YET AGAIN** proceeded to pull the trigger for no reason. The gun does exactly what I told it to.
6. Having schizo episode. For what is now the fourth time I pull the trigger of the gun for no reason. The gun does exactly what I told it to.
7. I literally just fire a gun.
8. I willing and knowingly load and literally, deliberately fire a gun. This is now the fifth time I have decided to pull the trigger of a gun for no reason and seeming expected it not to fire. Unsurprisingly to those with higher than room temperature IQs the gun actually does exactly what I told it to and fires once again.
9. I kick both of my brain cells into overdrive to come up with the dumbest and most reckless way to test a guns safety. I slam the hammer into the ground seemingly expecting it not to fire. It does...// because fucking obviously ffs anon.//
10. Sighting a rifle while sitting in the car for some reason. Still don't bother to make the gun safe or even check that it was. For the 6th? //losing count// time I decided to pull the trigger of a gun FOR NO FUCKING REASON. The gun does exactly what I told it to.
11. "**For some reason** the slide won't close on an empty magazine". //Anon the reason is that the mag is empty and the gun is telling you hey shitass the mag is empty. This is not unique. If you paid attention to basic handling for even .5 seconds you would know that.//
So naturally I load a magazine while holding down the trigger. The gun does exactly what I told it to.
12. //Fuck off.// I think it is a very smart idea to sleep with a loaded gun in my hand.
13. I pick up a gun and without making safe I literally fire the gun. Still, the gun does exactly what I told it to.
14. I am drinking and operating a firearm **again**. For presumably the only time in my life I actually clear a gun. I then pick up a completely different gun and shoot it. The gun does exactly what I told it to. I as an adult am somehow completely dumbfounded that the actions I preformed on one thing didn't magically carryover to a completely different thing.
Wow. A truly elite level goober. I'd say anon should feel bad about those NDs but I'm guessing he both doesn't have the computing power for that and likely has bigger issues to attend to. I can't say for sure what his deal is but he is certainly most highly regarded.
Bruh…. I’ve been around guns my whole life and I’ve never once not been sure whether there was or wasn’t anything in the chamber. This man is a menace.
I have been shooting my whole life and I have absolutely NEVER had a ND. I have been hit with a ricochet round (just a fragment pulled it out with the magnet from my level)
If I ever had a ND I don’t think I would shoot again.
Nah this dude is fucking stupid. Kids, don't do what this idiot does. I've owned guns for years and have never had an accidental misfire, ever. This is gross negligence.
What a fucking idiot. You’d think someone who’d been around so many guns would know to look in the actual breech to be sure they were actually clear, to test racking and actions with unloaded magazines, to KEEP YOUR FUCKING FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER unless actually ready to discharge a round at a target….
If he’s getting used to unintentional discharges, I hope he’s getting used to the idea of a manslaughter conviction. What an unbelievable dumbshit.
I own over thirty firearms, have for years and years, and have been around guns for decades. I’ve never once had a discharge I didn’t intend to happen. One when you’re new is understandable, two is a red flag, 13+ is someone who should never be near a firearm again.
How the fuck do you ND 14 times in your life? The first fucking rule of firearm safety is "treat every gun as if it were loaded." When clearing, you drop the fucking mag, pull the slide/charging handle back a few times (to make sure you pulled any leftover round out), THEN it's safe for inspection (you still point to the ground and away from anyone or anything you don't want to destroy, as well as finger off the trigger). I also don't get the point in keeping a round in the chamber for guns that aren't your CC or home defense guns (even home defense, I could argue it's not really needed since you're likely to have an advantage unless the invading person barges right into your room without you knowing).
Anon probably shouldn't have guns. But since he lives in the land of the free, home of the Dollar Menu; by god he's willing to die for his right to own guns
If Charlton Heston read this he would go "Some people shouldn't pwn guns..."
It is not him having a ND. It is about him taking it as something that is not a big deal. NDs are always a big deal. They are a catastrophic failure in following safety procedures around guns. I used to shoot competitively and we never had a ND on the range. Safety 1st 2nd and 3rd. Really.
Not a gun owner here, but I appreciate/respect their power enough to know that when I have handled one, I treat it very carefully and always assume it's loaded. I also know enough to know this guy's a ret*rd
And people wonder why leftists want gun control.
I'm not a gun nut, I've only really had experiences with rifles during a gun safety course. But whatever deities above and below can send me straight to the shadow realm if I lie when I say the first rule of gun safety is to always treat the gun as if it's loaded, and the second rule was to never point a gun at anything you didn't intend to kill.
People like these are allowed to vote. This man is going to kill someone if he isn't stopped, and it will just be another tragedy on the news.
Anon is a fucking moron who hasn't followed the 4 rules of gun safety a day in his life and is someone who I would never trust around any of my firearms.
Anon's guardian angel should get a rise and century long vacation after this motherfcker is dead. Even if anon shot himself, he already did more than enough
That sixth time, eh, I guess you might get a pass. All of this other shit? If anon ain’t religious, his ass is regarded (tbh he’s regarded regardless), because nothing short of Jesus shoulda been stopping him from killing somebody, much less himself.
You know, if you take the basic rules of gun safety seriously, it's impossible basically to have an ND, and definitely impossible to shoot someone. Even if you "fuck up" and break a rule, you won't hurt anybody, since the rules are redundant.
Fuckin kek after I realized this is a multiple page list. Hope this is fake n ghey tho because the idea of an anon sleep shooting is not something that’d help nerves if you share walls.
