getting flashed with a mirror in flight (non-emergency)

Take one hand, extend your arm and make a peace symbol keep the target of your flashes between those two fingers, with the other hand run the flash of light between your two fingers. This is how you sight a signaling mirror. The mirror is designed to create an intense flash to attract a pilots attention. In most countries signaling like this is reserved for emergencies. Similar to popping a red flare or distress markers. Usually the penalty for false alarms isn’t enforced unless you have a repeat offender. The offender usually has to flash military or police before something gets done. I have seen videos where the oolice got lazed or flashed and they used a combination of TV & Thermal to dead reckon the perp and then they used a ground mapping system on the helicopter to give an address for ground units to pick the perp up. This is crazy expensive but in the audio of the situations the cops were pissed and well you can imagine how quickly things get done when you start targeting & pissing cops off. You gotta find someone who cares. If you can take them up and show them how dangerous or distracting it is, you might get someone willing to put in the work.
