Why is flying for American Patrols a joke?

If flying for Southern Airways is the most popular low time job, American Patrols can’t be that far behind. With “success” always come a certain amount of hate. But I don’t understand it for API. Okay, a contract for 15-month to fly a C172 is weird but they gotta lock people in somehow don’t they? And $23k is terrible but cmon, it’s a C172. If you’re so set on not instructing, if this is what you get, why complain? In hope of getting the conditions to improbe maybe but I don’t know man, did an entire “case study” on it two weeks back. Pilots who take the job usually get cooked, labeled as people who do not respect themselves. Kinda crazy. But yeah, today is self promotion saturday. We got a deep dive on Berry Aviation tomorrow. Come take a look. https://the-road-to-1500.beehiiv.com
