Lenovo dock, BIOS and Thunderbolt update process is Garbage

TLDR: Ongoing problems with crap hardware docking stations, and Thunderbolt and BIOS update issues with Lenovo laptops and docks. I'd love to hear comments from others on how they are coping with this...
Dear Lenovo:
I run a fleet of about 110 Lenovo desktops and laptops. In general, we are very happy with our T15s and T16s, but I have to say the quality of the docks and software update process are terrible. It is bad enough that I spend hours futzing with bios updates for docks and the pcs. But the update process is horrible as well. The example below is what I've been going through for a single laptop this morning:
1. User reports that they can no longer connect to their screens, the keyboard or mouse doesn't work, or the battery won't charge. In most cases we now \*know\* that this is a problem with the Thunderbolt/power/USB-C port, and it is usually fixed by updating the Thunderbolt and BIOS. (In some cases the issue appears to be a mechanical problem with the (arguably very fragile) USB/C - Thunderbolt port(s) on the T15s.
2. If I install and run the Lenovo Support application directly on the laptop it reports that I need updated BIOS and Thunderbolt. I then attempt to download and install this from the application after going through checkboxes and legal mumbo-jumbo. Each time it looks like it will install, and then fails with a generic error message to the effect that either my battery is not charged, the laptop is not plugged in, or the user has canceled the install.
3. I then go to the web site at PCSupport.Lenovo.com. Download and run the device identifier program. Click checkbox for legal nonsense. Click to download the Lenovo Service Bridge (EVERY TIME EVEN THOUGH I JUST DOWNLOADED IT 2 MINUTES PRIOR). Message comes up.... "if you can't download from this link....use this link... "
4. Download the drivers again.... run the update. Get box says "the update is complete"... after about 30 seconds.... however, the underlying web page says, "2 driver Update failed. Please run again" At this point, I'm sending the unit back to the depot for warranty service. I've spent over two hours negotiating with the user, replacing their laptop, and attempting to do the updates.
The process has repeated itself for the entire time I've been at my company.... over two years. There appears to have been no change in any procedure and NO HELP. I can imagine other IT staff and SysAdmins are going through the same thing.
Just so this isn't a complaint, I would respectfully suggest the following:
1. Fix the PCSupport.Lenovo.com so that it does not repeatedly ask to download the same piece of update software within five minutes. Check the date of the last download.
2. Fix the Auto update support application so that it is more reliable.
3. Fix both processes so that they provide enough information in the error message for us to properly diagnose and troubleshoot and fix issues.
