Turkey Teeth! People who went to turkey for cheap dental work, what did you get done? Was it worth it? Any regrets?

As a British expat in Turkey who runs a business for connecting Brits with reputable, trustworthy dentists, it's always been quite annoying to see people willingly choosing treatments that would be questionable anywhere, choose unscrupulous operators who would sell their own grandma for a quick profit to carry out said treatments, and for the media to then jump all over that and tar actual professionals with the same brush. Funnily enough (but definitely not funny at all), my Turkish wife had her own horrific experience with a dentist in Spain, the kind that could leave you with a case of PTSD, and it was actually the final straw that made us want to leave and move back to Turkey, where she finally received professional help from the dental clinic we went on to work with.  As for me, whilst visiting the UK, since they were waiting for their license to do x-rays, the genius dentist recommended drilling into my tooth to see if there were any problems.  I passed, and it was in Turkey that I received a free check-up, x-ray included, and whilst a particular treatment was an option for me, they strongly advised me to go away and think about it, as opposed to pushing me into making a decision to make some quick money. Wherever you go, be it the UK, Turkey or Spain, you're always going to have stories about good and bad experiences.  Since hot industries inevitably attract grifters looking to take advantage of others, that has certainly happened in Turkey.  In my experience, however, I've come to see my dentist in Turkey as indispensable, whilst the NHS has, quite sadly, left me not feeling very confident. In addition to that, wherever you are, just like when you purchase an item or service anywhere, invest the time and do your research.  Don't jump at the first person who's promising you the world at bargain prices.  If something doesn't feel right, absolutely don't do it.  Ask lots of questions, even to the point that you may become annoying.  If they're not patient enough to answer your questions, why would you trust them with your health?  Also, before you even reach out, ask yourself if the treatment you're after is something you need, as opposed to something you merely want.  Lastly, never feel pressured into anything.  If someone is aggressively selling, that's a big red flag.
