How many of you still work from home? Have you found your employer is increasing the amount of time spent in the office?

I was WFH fully with and old company who had no intention to return to office after covid until a few members of staff got lazy and ruined it for everyone, then it was office 1 day a week for all staff. That was fine but the job was underpaid so I moved to another company which had an office but was fully remote unless needed in the office on an as and when basis which ended up being 1 or 2 days every other week which was fine. My contract said my working location was my home address. This was a global company who then decided to push everyone back in 3 days a week and I had a clause in my contract which said something along the lines of "this contract may change at short notice and may cover the requirement to work from other company sites as required by management for the purpose of the job" which was enough to change my working address to the office and they started forcing me back. I spent 6 months job hunting during this as the office was horrific, dark, smelt bad, toilets always stunk, noisy, uncomfortable chairs, hot desking so there was always someone's dry skin or crumbs in your keyboard and a greasy mouse, people would be walking about barefoot etc, I just hated it. I interviewed for 8 jobs in total during those 6 months, 3 I lost out on, 2 changed the goalposts halfway through to 3 days in the office, 2 I declined due to red flags and then I interviewed with the 8th and the company seemed like a great fit as did my skills for what they needed and I was lucky enough to be hired. It wasn't a massive increase in pay but it worked out due to how much I would be saving by not commuting. Been with them now for 5 or 6 months and I love working for them and with them. I appreciate how hard it is to get remote jobs these days but they are out there but you have to be quick too. This one I got a notification on LinkedIn for "this job may be a good fit for you" and I applied within 15 minutes of the listing going live, I checked it 6 hours later and it had 160 applicants, I checked the listing another 2 hours later and it had been taken down due to the amount of applicants. You gotta act fast and be on the ball.
