Saudade in Portuguese. It's a mournful nostalgia or yearning for a person or place, combined with the knowledge you will never see that person or place again. Duende in Spanish. Literally means imp like creature. In the context of flamenco (or art more generally) it's used to mean when a performer is in such a heightened state that they have almost completely lost their sense of self and become just a vessel through which the music and emotion is transmitted from some ineffable other place.
