Does AirlineApps work?

I'm listed for 11 companies after paying for a membership earlier last year. So far, I have gotten one phone screen and a LinkedIn invite from a recruiter stating they are not hiring. Engineering degree, ATP, no failures, good work history, etc. I'm not familiar with a couple of the companies available, so should do some more research and apply to more. Is this standard and did I waste $90?

Most airlines on airlineapps use them exclusively. However, some airlines have their own application portal so for those companies you're better off applying there over airline apps. Hiring in this environment is very tough especially if your not in a cadet program or have zero 121 time. Just keep sending app out, reach out to recruiters, and go to recruiting events. You'll get something eventually if you keep up.

I submitted about dozen applications via AirlineApps, zero calls. Then someone told me to submit an application directly on company website (that specific company has a AirlineApps application and own website application), got a call same day. That was about 6-8 months ago when the hiring climate was different. BTW, 6 months later not a single contact from anyone who's on Airline Apps (granted I haven't been updating) Multiple contacts and multiple CJO via other channels.

It works, but it's a job application not a magic spell, so now you sit around and keep it updated and wait for someone to call you just like everyone else. What kind of times and experience do you have?

It works. If you haven't already it may be worth having your app professionally reviewed. I've talked to a few recruiters who said that they encounter a lot of mistakes that are immediate disqualifications but aren't immediately obvious to people applying. You could be the perfect candidate, but unless you have your app properly formatted it's likely that you're going to get passed up from either recruiters or software filtering certain bits of information. Having your app reviewed is a good way to correct those mistakes.

It works. However I've read here that people get better luck while applying through the airlines' own system (if they have one). Whether or not that's true, I'm not sure.

I’m over 50% successful in getting an interview by applying to other companies directly. Much smaller sample size but noticeable.
