ULPT: McDonalds receipt survey codes for buy one get one free burger are just a random 7 digit #. For a free item at Panda Express, I use N-2600 every time.

enjoy free food without having to take some bullshit survey
MacMalarkey@reddit
Can you go into more detail?

McDonalds:
1.) Buy anything from mcdonalds; receive a receipt
2.) Your receipt contains a long numerical code and a link to the mcdonalds experience survey website
3.) upon completion of the survey you are given a 7 digit numerical code which you will then write on receipt to use as a coupon for a "buy one get one free burger of the same price" offer
4.) Don't waste the 5 minutes to take the survey. Just write a random-looking 7 digit number on the receipt and enjoy your free burger next time you eat at McDipshits
Panda Express:
Same concept except their code is formatted [A-Z] - [four digit number], like N-2600.
Most receipt surveys work the same way, just figure out the formatting for the code and never take the survey again.
Key_Ask_3752@reddit
Kinda lame considering u could make a crews day by giving them a stellar review but I'm sure the 5 mins is too much for an obvious CEO type career u know doubt haveĀ
Conceitedreality@reddit
lol you that mad at a five year old post
YougCraft_1@reddit
I used to do this quite often at mcdonalds a lot, and one day they said the numbers were supposed to match something on the receipt but couldn't tell the customer what it was for obvious reasons
Your_Doge_Father@reddit
It needs to last two digits need to match the KS#
YougCraft_1@reddit
Can you elaborate on that?
Your_Doge_Father@reddit
On your receipt there is a KS#
It stands for cash register, only number they look at are the last two because they match the KS# on the receipt
242ColeMan@reddit
The total amount of the sale including tax will be reflected at the end of the survey code.
Wonderful-Habit431@reddit
Store number?
YougCraft_1@reddit
I honestly have no freaking clue what number it was tbh. I moved :/
killian11111@reddit
I went and tried to get buy one get one double qp.. they said no only good for mc double. So I said ok no deal. Manager came and told me it's only good for a single qp .. umm get the story str8. I went to in n out instead. So I guess you can't use this survey shit easily :p
Raffaello_Lorenzo@reddit
The coupon code doesn't work. What a waste of time for such a survey.
DoctorQuality@reddit
McDonalds. Seven digits. The last two digits have to match the register number on the receipt. For example, if the receipt says KS02, then the last two digits have to be 02. The drive-thru window is usually KS13, btw. The FIRST five digits each have be each 1 through 9 (no zeroes) and ALL FIVE OF THEM must add up to be evenly divisible by 3.
All that is so the person at the register can visually/manually check to see if the code is valid. This is the ONLY way they have to validate the code; there is NO way for them to check the code against the survey database.
So you can just fill in the seven digits per the criteria above ... and not bother to do the survey at all. The people at register almost never bother to check the validity of the codes anyway.
UmpireLoose4601@reddit
This guy knows what he is talking about. I am a manager at McDonald's and can confirm that the last 2 digits need to match the register number (KS#) usually in left hand corner of receipt. (under the survey portion) IF they do even verify the code this is how they would do it.
bah2085@reddit
Do you have to actually buy a sandwich first, or will they just give you a few sandwich?
Mastershake41x@reddit
No, you have to buy an item and then you'll get the second item free.
So, you'll order two items, and then at the window, you'll give them the receipt with the code, and they'll promo the least expensive item off the menu, leaving you to only pay for the most expensive item.
Also, I'll let you and anyone reading know right now, that this also works with meals as well.
So, you'll order two meals at the intercom, then hand them the BOGO receipt with the code at the window, then they'll promo the most expensive meal off the menu.
This can also work with combining meals and items too, but just remember they'll promo the item before the meal.
In rare cases (or at least the town I live in), they'll sometimes promo the most expensive item off the menu, leaving you to only have to pay for the cheapest item, however, that might not be for everywhere, and they're technically not supposed to do that.
bah2085@reddit
I just did one, and indeed the last 2 numbers match the ks#!!!!
Veridian4@reddit
I actually was just going to do this but figured, wth , let me check too because I read somewhere it was actually like the 7th and 8th digits of the survey code and was trying to find where I read it. - The KS# is 2, and 02 is the last two digits of my code. So then I was like the KS# method is correct. So then I checked the 7th and 8th digits of the survey code on the receipt and it was "02" - so its both!
The 7th and 8th are the first two digits of the 2nd set of numbers. So next time you get a receipt check if the KS# matches the 7th and 8th digit of the survey code.
Tbh, Id rather just use the offers in the app but my area sucks for offers. They only have $5.49 breakfast deal. Many cities either have BOGO egg mcmuffin or $2 egg mcmuffin - so I dont feel guilty - even though the first one will be legit
EffingBrian@reddit
Hi, I'm from the future with additional information.
The first 5 digits can absolutely have zeroes in them. I just had a legitimate survey completion code of 1263013.
DoctorQuality@reddit
Thank you for providing that correct information. Where-ever I sourced all the information from must have said "no zeroes." Btw, I've used the rules above many, many times over the last few years and I've never had a problem. But again I don't think they even bother to check. Again, my thanks.

I have to wonder what's to stop ~~me~~ a person I have no affiliation with from buying a receipt printer and a roll of receipt paper, buying something at the counter once to get a copy of a real receipt, just printing out fakes at home (while incrementing the date now and then), and writing random (but "valid") codes on them?
DoctorQuality@reddit
Why bother with a printer? Every time you purchase with their BOGO receipt ... you get another receipt. And if that isn't enough, the receipts are laying all over the empty restaurant tables, the parking lot, etc.
Key-Ad-2547@reddit
At our store if you have a BOGO sandwich receipt and not a "get a free dessert" receipt, we actually do input the survey codes off of the BOGO receipt and when the subsequent receipt gets printed out from the printer (the BOGO order receipt) the receipt has no kind of survey or anything free/discounted on it at all, it's just a regular receipt...!
C/o Durham, NC
DoctorQuality@reddit
Yes. That has happened to me. That if I use a BOGO sandwich receipt with the seven digits on it ... then the receipt I get from that transaction does NOT have a survey offer on it. But it only happens occassionaly. And I have never been refused the BOGO offer even if that happens and the codes is phony. So apparently most employees don't bother to input the codes.
blaytn@reddit
This exact thing, but with the fetch rewards app
AtlasCouldntCarryYou@reddit
Or Bing?
skee69@reddit
I worked at McDonald's last year, they didn't even tell us how to check the receipts. Ended up just giving it to everyone with a number written down. So depending on which store you go to, this might not even be necessary.
GamersHQNikko@reddit
Thank you for the CORRECT answer I would give you gold if I could
Veridian4@reddit
Burger King always had a two letter code that the first two letters indicated the month and the remaining digits could be random. Not sure if they still use same system but you can find the codes online. So in June, you could get a way with a May or June code.
SubstantialSea8260@reddit
Do you really need receipt or can you just show code on your phone or laptop to redeem deal
SubstantialSea8260@reddit
And when asked for manager she said that's me wow is all I got to say
Accomplished_Study76@reddit
Why would have to do that? Everytime you use it a new one prints. You have an endless supply with no drama
Regular-Leather1092@reddit
Do these have an expiration date? Thanks!
