141 killed my passion for aviation

I’m terminating my contract with my 141 school and if anyone here is looking to join a 141 school I’d highly recommend not doing so. I was warned about crazy hours, company management that doesn’t care, curriculum, and etc and yes that happened but that didn’t bother me. I’ve been working on my IR since march 2023, I have just under 300 hours, and I’m still not close to getting my rating. I haven’t had to repeat lessons because I did poorly, mostly just had to incomplete every lesson because we didn’t get enough time. That’s fine. The thing that got me was how I would be scheduled once or twice one week, then wait 3 weeks for the next scheduled mission. Or the fact that we’d go to the plane and something would always be broken. I flew a ton over the summer so that’s when I got my hours but after August it was basically 6 hours a month. I’m going on my 4th week of no flight time. Getting in a plane knowing the last 5 times we flew we had some issue that could’ve killed us, I barely know how to fly the plane anymore, and it’ll be my only flight for the month has really taken every ounce of aviation love out of my soul. It also doesn’t feel great when your CFII just ripped the door off the plane and the company announces their purchase of a new building for campus, or sends nasty emails regarding people acting unprofessionally. I’ve flown for fun recently and it just wasn’t all that it used to be sadly. I hope I’ll get my passion back someday but for now it’s back to college lol
