Refined sugars (other than effectively being poison in the amounts we consume them) have destroyed the need to use several ingredients in order to bring out a sweet flavour in foods, resulting in lesser flavour in sweet foods since those other ingredients would possess a much greater flavour profile than just sweet, as well as a greater quantity of sweetened foods, which often results in overeating and forming addictions to goyslop. Comparing msg to sugar is probably the worst thing you could do in order to speak in favour of it
