what makes an Alcoholic?

If you drinks excessively at one given time every weekend does that make you an Alcoholic( I.e drinking hardcore every Friday night?) Or say if you have a couple drinks with every meal does that make one an alcoholic.

Well, I hang out with my bartenders outside of the bar, because I've known them for years, because I've been going to their bar for years, regularly. I've had bartenders call me before someone else I knew was too fucked up to drive, and they had my number already. If you ever get to where I'm at, stop, please.
