Does anyone remember the old Three Mobile smartphones of the early 2000s? They were huge but loaded with features. Everyone wanted one when I was a kid!

Can’t find photos of them online anywhere. They weren’t Sony or Nokia as far as I can remember, but they were laden with features like a huge screen and camera. I remember one lad near me had one and we were all jealous!

Plus those aliens. It was also pretty easy to put photos onto it off a computer. When hedge porn was still a think having digital blurry porn on a portable device was ground breaking for teenage me.

It was a Motorola flip phone. I had it in 2005 on Three network. Can't remember the model though. I remember watching Petey and Jaydee, Angry Kid, The adventures of Big Jeff to name a few. There was a section on Three's Internet portal called Stupid Videos.

Was it an NEC? Like a clam style one? I had one of the early video calling phones back then on three, there was only like 2 people I could actually video call. Never had a signal, really shit battery life, could barely ever see the other person and it cost a small fortune to make the call. But damn I felt fancy af. Edit: just googled it, it was an NEC E616V.

Me and a mate bought these from carphone warehouse as they were about £30 (+£10 credit) imagine getting a new phone for that now! And they were revolutionary at the time as the screen was bigger than most phones at the time. I remember us showing them off to mates, but having to have our journal phones too as you could never receive a call on them (three was really in its infancy at the time)
