I LOVED the NBA as a kid. Now, I can't watch it. It's so boring. I laugh when people say modern players are GOATs. They'd get DESTROYED by most mid level 80s-90s NBA players.

NCAA basketball and football are so much better. For baseball, I'd rather watch the little league works series than pro or college.

I absolutely miss basketball how we grew up playing it. Now it seems like every year there's some rule alteration I'm just finding out about. The 'gathering step' now allowing 3 steps before a travel is called. Offensive players allowed to ward when they have the ball. The change allowing players to stall and 'carry' the ball while dribbling. I feel like I don't even know this game anymore.

That theme is such a timeless classic. Of course [the NBA on CBS theme was just as good.](https://youtu.be/uOEwkea1JGA?si=xXQNwXKCOZWMQTEC)

Lets not forget about the lack of post play.

Thank you! There's a joke in Hot Shots Part Deux that I never got. During the big action scene at the end, Miguel Ferrer looks directly at the camera and says, "War. It's fantastic!" I could never figure out what he was referencing
