Anyone use an app to track their maintenance?

I use MyRide901. The app allows you to add any service and include details on mileage, cost, notes, and add your own images and documents/receipts. Additionally you can add notes about the service after you did it. When you sell the vehicle, you can share the timeline with other MyRide901 users or generate a PDF report of every service you did. I absolutely love this app and recommend it for anyone with more than one vehicle. It’s totally free and doesn’t have any annoying pop up ads.
No I was not paid to post this. I just hate filtering through my folders full of receipts to find the single one I’m looking for. Just thought I’d share!

I recently launched an app for tracking maintenance on cars, homes, appliances, boats, lawn mowers & heavy equipment, etc.
The app also can track fill-ups or charges.
It has an integration with Tesla vehicles to automatically pull in charge records and energy usage on drives.
It will auto suggest maintenance schedules, learn your maintenance history, and uses AI to advise on various maintenance related tasks or repairs. It lets you upload user and service manuals, indexes them and uses that information to answer questions specific to your asset.
You can even share assets and maintenance logs with others, who can also view and maintain, such as a mechanic, family member, etc.
The app/website is https://upkeephq.app . You can install it on any Android or iPhone directly from the website on your phone browser (dedicated app not yet on the marketplace).

Same, been using it for years. Have tracked every fill of my current vehicle since I bought it, as well as any service I've done. Gives reminders for next service due, has nice charts and graphs, etc.
Celery_Lazy@reddit
I've been using this to track Gas, and just this week i'm trying to start tracking maintenance, it is not intuitive at all.
Weak-Cut343@reddit
There's an alternative - Car Maintenance by Razordev. Blue icon. But it's kinda hard to find for some reason, not showing on top.

Hi, I use Car Cave, it’s a simple, helpful app that lets you track and keep records of all your vehicle’s maintenance services. You can track services by time or odometer, set reminders, share vehicles with others, generate full service reports, view cost reports, and much more. And best of all, no annoying ads and no monthly subscriptions. It’s a one time, inexpensive purchase and the app is yours. The tech support is great too. I highly recommend it.

I used Fuelio briefly and it seemed quite comprehensive and it has reminders, but like alot of other apps in the appstore, couldn't really find any with desktop usage.
I see that there's alot of people that use sheets and I've also used that before, but I found myself still forgetting stuff, and I wanted to additionally be able to set reminders.
Autozis Car Service Tracker is the one that I'm using now to be able to use it on any device with a browser.
diversification@reddit
Not to nay-say, but why isn't there an app for this on the Google Play store?
diversification@reddit
Nevermind, I found it:
I hope they consider that they should really be coding an iPhone app too if they want to maintain a wide audience.
David-Moreira@reddit
The app has now been published both for Windows & iOS!
David-Moreira@reddit
Hey, Apologies if I wasn't clear, I'm the maker of Autozis.
I'm working on making it available for Android right now, it should be available within a week or so, the experience you have right now on mobile should be the same one you get with the app, I wanted the experience to be as close as possible across devices so you're comfortable using it anywhere.
iOS devices are definitely on the backlog, thanks for your feedback.
BigPickleKAM@reddit
I just tried your app and got a doesn't comply with Google policy message.

Hey, Thanks for taking a look. Just to be sure, you are on the latest version right? 0.8.0, it should show in the Google play store.
We had a problem with it in one of the early versions, but we were able to fix it. When does it happen? Right after you click the Google login?
BigPickleKAM@reddit
Yes I just checked again and it is 0.8.0. when I click the Google log in I get bumped to a web interface where if I click the Google log in again I get the error message.
David-Moreira@reddit
Man that's unfortunate. Thanks for letting us know. Would you be so kind to give extra details. What's your device and browser installed on your device?
In the meantime if you'd like a workaround you can set up a password for your account here by accessing through a regular web browser https://autozis.com/Account/Manage/ChangePassword And then just use regular user / password in the app, you can use the remember me so you only need to type once.
BigPickleKAM@reddit
I'm on a Pixel 7 with the most up to date they auto send out.
I'll hit up the link thanks!
David-Moreira@reddit
Hey u/BigPickleKAM
We figured out the issue, hopefully google authentication through the android app should now be running smoothly.
Again let us know if you have any feedback.
I really appreciated that you reached out with this issue as we weren't aware there were some cases where it was not working.
BigPickleKAM@reddit
Perfect I just checked and it worked perfectly for me now!
I'm on a road trip and had to make a repair and thought someone must have made an app to track routine maintenance so I don't have this experience again and I found your app.
Thanks for fixing that up. I'll get my truck registered and see how things look.
David-Moreira@reddit
Haha same device as me. Honestly no idea why it's happening to you just yet. I understand that Google has strict policies for security purposes where the process has to go through secure channels, i.e what they consider as secure, opening in Google Chrome, etc... This latest version should already be leveraging the browser you have to secure the process... Anyway technical aspects aside. We'll try to figure it out in order to improve the experience with Google login in the app. I believe the regular login should be a decent workaround for you.
Please let us know if you have any feedback on the app usage. Any features that you'd like to suggest or anything that you'd like improved.
dbfuru@reddit
I use Google sheets. I have a page for basic info, common maintenance part numbers, and dates/mileage for upcoming maintenance, then a page to record maintenance as performed with costs and links to parts receipts/invoices and then extra pages for additional info like the factory service schedule, notes on maintenance jobs like reminders on what size hex keys I need or what size crush washers I need.
Mr_Random932@reddit
Would you mind sharing your Google sheet?

I use Carmainty. The other ones don’t really have everything I need

I use EstateHelm to keep track of this and a bunch of other stuff https://estatehelm.com/blog/vehicle-maintenance-tracking

I might be a bit late here, but I actually built an app that does this but even better. It tracks maintenance and costs, sends reminders when service is due based on time or mileage, and I added some AI to make tracking easier. For example, you can just share a receipt and it automatically extracts the data for you.

Hey! I actually built an app for exactly this use case. It’s currently iOS-only, but it’s focused on tracking maintenance by mileage/time, keeping a full service history, and logging costs in one place. No ads, and most features are available in the free version (I’m the developer, so happy to get feedback rather than sell anything). I want to take pictures of where I bought the part, the part itself, the old part I removed, the new part after installing, the date and mileage, the receipt, and a video of me doing the work as well as a before and after of a data stream showing the issue being corrected if a CEL was thrown.
Then add all of this to a local disk drive and NOT rely on an APP that may stop working, get deleted for whatever reason, start charging crazy subscription fees etc. I've been online since the days of the 386/486 PCs and have seen too much crap to trust any data solution that I couldn't control in house including email addresses, websites, apps, software, etc... so what I can control is an old non-web connected PC/laptop with linux running a basic program that I can interact with for record keeping. This keeps it secure and keeps me sane!

I’m a bit of a car nerd and always found it a pain to keep track of oil changes, tire rotations, receipts, and all the random things that go into keeping my car in shape. So I built CarTracker.shop — a simple app to log and manage your car maintenance history and expenses.
I use it myself to track:
I gave it a clean, mobile-friendly interface and tried to make it feel more like a personal garage assistant than just a spreadsheet. Still early, but got a couple users this week, and excited to see if others find it useful!
Would love feedback or feature ideas. And if you give it a try, you’ll get a free Enthusiast plan for the first month just for signing up

I use carfax maintenance or whatever it’s called. I put in whatever work i did and can see what the dealer has done
J-Skibby@reddit
Does the info feed into Carfax's data base and show up in their online reports?
BeastDynastyGamerz@reddit
Tbh I’m not sure. Im guessing they do since I’ve done all my own work to the car and when i put in the vin is says it has 20+ records
corndog-98@reddit
Apparently the self service records are only for internal use and not logged on Carfax. I know this and to confirm i opened my app last week and all my self service records were deleted and if they were on the cloud it'd still be there... thus why im on this thread looking for a new app.
J-Rod98@reddit
I’m considering switching now… I accidentally fat fingered an extra digit on my vehicle’s odo, and they won’t let me reset it back to a lower amount. (Was about 99,000, fat fingered it to 990,000 while I was using my phone as a flashlight :/ )
J-Skibby@reddit
CarFax will fix it for you if you provide photo proof. They did for me years ago.
I had an issue years ago when selling a car — it was undervalued as a trade-in due to its “high” mileage. I lived in Germany for years and got used to using kilometers for mileage and navigation distances. During a service appointment a dealership entered the mileage they saw on the odometer but didn’t realize the units was in kilometers. Somehow CarFax was updated with this incorrect number. This was unknown to me until the dealer I was later trading in my car to pulled a CarFax report. I wrote up an explanation (what I just told you) and provided proof of the odometer in both miles and kilometers and CarFax fixed the mistake.
J-Rod98@reddit
Ah yeah I actually ended up reaching out to CarFax and they fixed it for me. I guess when I said “they won’t let me”, I just meant that there is no way for me to fix it without reaching out to CarFax.
vivekkhera@reddit
No. My car tells me when and what service it needs.

sandilya28@reddit
This is a really interesting option! Another tip: I use a spreadsheet for logging maintenance details. You can customize it to track cost per km, parts replaced, etc., if you're hands-on. For simpler tracking in-app, I’ve found apps like Drivvo helpful too. Will check out MyRide901—thanks for the share!

Auto logs in chronological order for you. No manual data entry

A couple of weeks ago I made my own desktop website (it is mobile friendly too :-) )for me to use on my own cars. Now my family and friends to use also. I have been a web developer for over 25 years and I just wanted something really simple to use without all the needless things I will never enter. If anyone wants to use it also just go right ahead, its free. The website is carfixlog.com You will not find an app for this on any app store but like I said it is mobile friendly.
breengurdy@reddit
Hey everyone!
I'm working on an app that I think could save a lot of time and effort when it comes to tracking a car’s maintenance history, and I'd love to know if you’d be interested in trying it out.
Imagine: You snap a picture (or upload an existing photo) of a mechanic’s invoice, and the app automatically extracts all the relevant data—like dates, services, costs, and parts used—and logs it into your maintenance history. No more manual data entry or worrying about keeping everything organized!
I know there are quite a few maintenance log apps out there, but this app removes the need for tedious manual input (saving time), reduces the risk of human error, and keeps everything neatly arranged in chronological order. It’s like having a personal assistant for your car’s maintenance records.
Snap a pic and the app handles the rest!
Does this sound like something you'd find useful for your own car maintenance? I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!
If this is not the right place to ask this question, sorry.

Hey, thanks for asking. https://vehiclemaintenancelogapp.com . I have the beta out in test right now if you click the "Download on the App Store" button it will bring you to download the iOS TestFlight app and install the latest build I have out for Vehicle Maintenance Log. Feel free to DM me here or send an email if you find issues.
I'm looking into it out now but when you first download the app it doesnt seem to be working. If you close out of the app and reopen it it works every time moving forward. Im new to app development and unsure if its something with my app or test flight in general. Looking into it but please, any and all feedback is great. Thanks again u/johnnygumbo4 !

I do my own work so I’d probably forget about the app at least 50% of the time. Seems kind of smart though, I like it.

Haha doing my own work is why I was motivated to find an app. I got sick of keeping part receipts and searching through my camera roll for pics of the repair.
Bianrox@reddit
What app did you end up going with? I am searching for an app for the same reason
br1ck_city4@reddit (OP)
I’m still using MyRide901. It actually became quite a blessing recently because I sold a vehicle and all I had to do to gain service records was email myself a pdf of the records and then print it. I highly recommend the app and they’re constantly coming out with bug fixes and improvements since they’re still relatively new.

Not really.

I've tried in the past, but they're never detailed enough. These days, I have several Google Sheets workbooks with multiple sheets running for each of the cars. Some of my cars have records going back almost 20 years, so a blank canvas like a spreadsheet is still my go-to. These days, have it all live in Google Drive and being able to access it from anywhere is one of the best parts.
Jahorsle@reddit
Between Google Sheets for recording it all and the Fuelly app for reminders and also tracking maintenance/fuel mileage, I think I’m covered. 👍🏻
jfrok@reddit
I have a hanging folder in my file cabinet where i keep all records of my car, especially since I got it with all of is original documentation 10 years after new. Makes it easy to see how long ago something was done and is valuable to pass off when I eventually sell it.
br1ck_city4@reddit (OP)
That’s my thinking. I keep my receipts, but it’s hard to stay organized with physical paper. I also like being able to recall all my records at any time I need them.
redoctoberz@reddit
I just open my OE maintenance schedule booklet and read it for what is needed every 5k miles. Anything else is just stored on a receipt.
