BRAND NEW (picked up an hour ago) CZ firearm, take it home and field strip it and the barrel is fucked??

Title. Picked up my new CZ P10S today after completing my background check. Being brand new to firearms, I didn't disassemble the firearm at the FLL counter because I didn't know how. I racked the slide, pulled the trigger, made sure it reset, and checked the magazines for any slop. Good to go, so I thought. I get home and immediately went to field strip it. Took me about 5 minutes and a half dozen tries to get the slide off. I take the slide off and remove the barrel to see a massive gash. Patting myself on the back for not going straight to the range; while I have some doubts that the flaw could be dangerous (I have no idea frankly, and I already reached out to CZ to ask them what they think) I'm also just a little disappointed that firearms are passing QC like this and being sold as new. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this. Is this normal, dangerous, or acceptable? Does CZ owe me a new barrel? Or is this typical of QC and finishing on a $500 firearm? Kind of a shitty first impression, although I'm looking forward to training with it once I can confirm its not dangerous, hopefully sometime soon. If it matters, I can't "feel" the flaw on the barrel, it does seem to be just a surface/finish flaw, but again, i have no idea. Thanks! photo below (the gun came absolutely filthy, all that grease and gunk was not my doing / have since been removed. This is exactly how it came to me out of the box) https://preview.redd.it/uae5xsegy8ec1.jpg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdfeec3c82863556bf6736c5074a1dca7bfec1b2
