Low-key, one of the, if not the most important character on the show is the narrator.

Just think about it. Every single episode, he's taking us through it, making jokes, explaining science, breaking things down holding the show together. I really can't imagine the show without him.

Has he been AI recreated? https://youtu.be/uHDveNP78RE?si=tmf4kH4aXkVtVQ-B

Grew up in the UK so I had the English narrator.
I don’t get why there had to be a different narrator? The show is based in the US, so it makes perfect sense that the narrator is American.
But all the clips online and on Amazon have the standard US narrator so I relate with both

Youre talking waffle because the only guy who was ever on mythbusters as the narrator was the American guy.
Youre probably thinking of how its made.
RaspberryWonderful16@reddit
Nope, definitely had an English narrator.
Source: watched Mythbusters all the time in the UK
Hot-Conversation-174@reddit
Your memory is not a source.
I too grew up watching it in England. Never heard an English guy. Never thought when I started rewatching it on amazon "huh thats not the same guy"

ur memory is dead wrong 🤠
Plus-Statistician538@reddit
ur so slow

Omg literally look at their wiki page and it says there the name of the US narrator and the UK narrator (Robin Banks)
I watched Mythbusters on discovery all the time in the early 00s. The narrator had an English accent.

I found a video with no narrator. It’s so weird

Rob Lee, the 6th Mythbuster, and still recording voice overs for the ‘MythBusters: There’s your Problem’.
TheEpicEpileptic@reddit
Is that a new show?
grimmreapa@reddit
It’s like smyths, but official. 3 old myths repackaged into a themed ep… like viscosity etc
LSDpho@reddit
Is it a new show or just a compilation show?
grimmreapa@reddit
It’s a compilation. One theme per episode (viscosity for example) and then there’s three stories that have been streamlined to fit the 25 min duration.
obiwankevobi@reddit
I didn’t even know that was a thing!

I always enjoyed some of the … unique pronunciations that made it to air in the early episodes. The one that stood out for me the most was “Alameda” but it was spoken as “ALA-may-da” instead of “ALA-me-da”.
PedrotPete@reddit
To me it will always be the Pavel Chekhov pronunciation from ST 4
LeperFriend@reddit
With the nuclear wessels
Funkytadualexhaust@reddit
Probably the correct spanish pronunciation? Even though nobody says it that way.

I watched an episode a while back somewhere online, I think it was the Australian version of the show as it had a different narrator. I'm pretty sure he was saying the exact same things but with a different accent, it totally took me out of the show.
s0ner@reddit
MythBusters is actually an Australian produced TV show. Robert lives in Sydney, according to his website
grimmreapa@reddit
The UK version had a different narrator.
AerePerennius@reddit
As an Aussie we got the standard narration from Rob Lee, that voice is incredibly nostalgic to me growing up.
teambob@reddit
He should start an ASMR channel

I don't know. I saw an episode of "Mythbusters" featuring the standard voiceover narration but two guys I'd never heard of.
I stuck it out for maybe one commercial break. It wasn't right without Adam and Jamie.
grimmreapa@reddit
That was the reboot. Only lasted one season.
