Skin care yes makeup NO! The less the better for your skin, am 32 yo i look 24sh its all about your lifestyle and your mental state, if you think a makeup is fine your wrong its got all kind of harmfull substances. Just get a cleanser, lotion, sunblock and serum. Masks whenever you got chill time, the biggest difference is not to overwash hair or face actully less intervine is the way to go

Not really no, sun screen is a must in summer but I am in my early thirties now and I’m honestly not concerned about my appearance anymore, as long as I’m clean and healthy that’s what is important to me.

I will say though these and many other natural oils/butters might make some people break out (acne, redness, clogged pores, etc.) as they’re quite heavy. I know my skin wouldn’t react well to these, so I think some people might be better off with dermocosmetics (doesn’t need to be expensive).

SPF50 every day - multiple times in summer/abroad. Moisturise entire body after each shower. Cleanse face, liquid exfoliant and retinol. But mostly it's drinking enough water and eating a good diet. Saunas help too but be careful if you wear anything in them - especially if they contain manmade materials.

I (m/51) had my 1st ever visit to a skincare specialist before Christmas, and was "prescribed" a new soap for my face based on my skin type, and some SP15 moisturiser. The difference in the state of my skin is astounding, I wish I'd done this earlier in my life. Micro-needling and a skin peel are next. As for anyone knowing about it, I'm of an age where I don't give a fuck any more, and tell people about it when it comes up in conversation.

It's often just genetic tbh. OP said they use a moisturiser-concealer, which is probably the best shout tbh. No sort of cream / oil / lotion is going to remove the appearance dark circles if you have them genetically, outside of something that actually has an actual concealer/makeup within it.

Facial scrub in the morning shower and tea tree oil moisturiser. One to keep my pores unblocked and clean as I am prone to acne, and the other to prevent dry skin as I suffer from mild eczema. For hands - at the moment I'm using Palmers' shea butter moisturiser because that's just what I had lying around, but any fairly thick moisturiser works fine. I'm in my late 30s but people often don't believe me when I tell them. Partly genetics from my mother's side, though - she looked much younger than her age for most of her life.

I wash my face, cleanse it and moisturise it before topping my face with sun cream which feels like bare minimum skincare. I don’t exactly broadcast what I do but I don’t have any shame or hide it either. I have a skin condition that flares up if I don’t keep my face clean.

*In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1,000 now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water-activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply a herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm, followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.*

I suffered from terrible dry skin and eczema when I was young, so very early on I’ve had a huge skincare routine. Every morning and night I moisturise. No so "early" 30s but, yes I use an unscented moisturiser with a spf, and a collegen cream as my eyes are looking pretty tired. Spent a lot of my life looking young, my 30s took a big swing at that. I'm doing a bit more to make myself look my best. Never used make up, my unresearched and ( maybe slightly ignorant of facts) view, is that I would rather look like "me". I could certainly have used something to hide a spot or two before a big meeting. But never gave it a go.

I'm in my early thirties and could pass for several years younger. Beyond genetics (which, let's be honest, is a very under considered factor in how someone ages), the only thing I do I wash my face morning and night, moisturise with an SPF moisturiser year round, and stay out of the sun in summer or wear factor 50 if I know I won't be able to stay out of the sun. I do think for all the fancy products on the market, there's nothing that has the same positive impact as just avoiding sun damage.

Genetics is the overriding factor IMO. There are people in their 30s who I see that wear SPF constantly, have crazy skin-care routines and stay away from unhealthy food etc, and they look pretty haggard and drawn tbh. Then there's people who I know of the same age or older, who (within reason) eat what they want, drink regularly, smoke, spend a fair bit out time in the sun, etc, and they look great - healthy and happy! Obviously using SPF vs not using SPF will affect you over time, but on the whole, all the hype and discourse around various moisturisers, oils, creams etc for your face is just companies trying to sell you products, and a result of our consumerist culture in general.

It's not a secret but I don't go around shouting about it. In the last couple of years I've developed quite bad eczema on my face, either side of my nose. Enough to be embarrassed by it. But I keep it almost completely under control through a combination of a hypoallergenic, antibacterial face wash, emollient cream and argon oil.

Nothing crazy but I do have a skin care routine and a hair care routine. Feel like in my culture it’s less stigmatised to do all these things. If you turn up looking dry, crusty or flaky. Someone is going to let you know to your face lol.
