Is there some sort of comparison site or calculator to work out what wage you'd need in different cities for an equivalent quality of life?

I've been offered a new job which has open positions in 3 places. Liverpool, Newcastle and London. The Liverpool and Newcastle jobs are 27.5k and the London job is 33k. I'm pretty certain 33k in London won't go as far compared to the other 2 cities, but between Newcastle and Liverpool I can't really find any concise lists of general costs and how they differ. I'm also not 100% dead set on accepting the job and I'm still looking/waiting to hear back from others so for future reference it would be nice to have a tool on hand to compare other cities. Thanks.

The wage isn't great for wherever you go if you've got to live on that alone, but personally I'd prefer Newcastle. But if you go into shared accommodation I think your money will go further in Newcastle

Comments like this make me wonder what people spend all their money on. I bought my first home on under 25k and upsized on 33k, and no I’m not a boomer, this was very recently.

Fair enough but how much deposit money did you have and where were you buying? And this person has replied about what they want to be able to do with their money, Gym membership, Cinema, Eating and Drinking out. With that sort of wish list, they aren't going to be saving any money for a mortgage.

I'm happy to go into shared acomm, wouldn't be the first time I've done so. I'm hoping to make a sort of breakdown of various costs such as rent, gym membership, weekly shopping, public transport, cinema, eating and drinking out, etc and seeing how the 3 compare and how much roughly I'd be left with each month. If one comes out significantly better I'd probably go there, if there's not much difference then I'd choose based on more personal preferences. Commute time, quality of accommodation, nightlife/entertainment, etc.

Been so long since I lived in shared accommodation so I have no reference on those costs, but I think things like Gym, cinema, and eating and drinking out will only be occasional things on the salary you are on no matter where you decide to live. With everything you want to be able to do, maybe Liverpool would offer more simply because it's a bigger city. Just a personal preference that I prefer Newcastle.

How accurate is it, how do they get the data? I tried for my town and a local much more tourist destination town and some of the stuff seemed off
