Do cases with USB C typically include data?

for example the hyte y40, does the USB c port in the case include data?

Look at the spec for the port, if the case is any good, it will list the pinout and cable design which gives you a good sense of what the port can do. Hyte lists the front c on that case as a USB 3.2 port which means it is rated for minimum 10Gbps data (assuming 1 channel).

I'm sure you can find something on Aliexpress or Temu or Wish or some other seller of manufactured waste that has USB ports that are only for charging.

Not sure what you want to say, do you mean if they can transfer data? Then the answer is yes, they do. Its not just for charging
