How to you deal with Microsoft 365 Web management latency?

Nowadays, when you change a setting anywhere in M365 ecosystem, there's always a time you need to wait until the setting is applied. Assign a licence, change a policy, ... How to you deal with that? Especially when you are looking to make it work and you need to tweek tens of settings and wait the next day to realize that nothing works anymore? I suppose that when you know what you are doing it's not a problem. Let's just imagine we aren't force to follow trainings or hire an MSP to run the rolls royce of the software AKA Microsoft suite (just to rant about Linux or open-source bad image while we struggle with MS everyday). ​ Is there a way to know what setting application will be delayed and what will be applied instantly? You change one setting a day? You follow all trainings available to be able to share a on-prem calendar to an EXO mailbox user?
