I see all these people posting about insane job listings asking for a ton of experience, certs, education for small salaries. I am on the other side of the spectrum and wonder what role do you think I would be ideal for. (I am not interested in pursuing anything - just curious.
Certifications:
A+ (1999)
Dell (yearly since 1999 but stopped in 2023)
HP (Printers, plotters, desktops, laptops, servers - pretty much everything in their catalog until 2022)
Security +, Network + (2009, 2010)
CCNA, CCNP (expired but were done in 2011 and 2013)
RHCSA, RHCE
Polycom certified videoconferencing engineer
MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP - pretty much all of them until 2020 as they came up
a few dozen more but I don't want to bore you.
Education:
AAS - Computer Information Systems (Networking)
Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology
Master of International Management and Info Systems
Master of Science - IT
MBA - Information Management
Experience:
Level 3 tech at a US Department of Energy National Laboratory for 15 years specializing in Linux, Mac, Linux in an AD environment.
Assigned to special projects for DOD/DOE special access programs as they came up - everything from things that make you glow in the dark to medical research.
Security Clearances:
TS-SSBI w/Poly and DOE Q Clearance with SAP and SCI access
