Is there hard wired battery backups for lights?

I used to own a commercial space and some of the lights were required to have battery back in case of emergency.
The ones our contractor installed were built into the overhead lights, but they were meant for drop ceilings.
I’d love to have something that I could wire into my lights that might sit in the wall cavity of some lights in my house that just turn on if the power goes out.
Anyone know if that exists for residential?
