Can no-one do anything for themselves any more?

Just read a question about how many times someone should knock. Another one about if they can sue the council for a large puddle on the road. What is going on? Is it a Covid thing that has addled people's brains and they don't know how to interact with the world? Has decision making become harder? Are people sufficiently starved of people they can talk to about this stuff and rely on Reddit? What is it with the navel gazing questions about how many times you brush your teeth horizontally before brushing vertically? What the shit is going on? Am I alone in feeling that there is no introspective thought about things?
