Pretty sweet!

the only way to have ethical porn that you also know will never disappear like that is to pay for it tbh. otherwise just any porn site will do but then there’s a lot of moral and ethical issues with those
buildingsteamgrain@reddit
ye there are a lot ov ethical problems with some porn sites n the porn industry in gen but i don't think OP wanted 2 hear an insightful critique ov porn. are you a radfem or something mane?
bonkykongcountry@reddit
Maybe get a hobby? Go outside? Porn is rotting your brain dude
jayenatior@reddit
Amen, there's an overwhelming amount of peer reviewed evidence that porn is bad for you.
Sillypugpugpugpug@reddit
There is a lot of evidence that social media is bad for you too, and yet here you are.
jayenatior@reddit
Yeah well, your here too. Plus who says I'm using social media to a negative degree, it's more a non-linear structure on its impact.
Sillypugpugpugpug@reddit
I’m not the one telling someone else how to spend their time.
jayenatior@reddit
Never did that, neither did you. We don't have anything to prove to each other at this point. So relax this isn't a attack on you or habits, all I did was respond to someone. I'm gonna go seeth else where.
Sillypugpugpugpug@reddit
Amen!

Chalky_Pockets@reddit
You're using social media negatively right now lol.
jayenatior@reddit
I'd argue in this comment section, it's subjective.
Chalky_Pockets@reddit
Your argument is wrong.
jayenatior@reddit
Agreed
bonkykongcountry@reddit
Yeah because they’re totally the same lmao. Cope
tapes_and_tapes@reddit
Since you're already using social media to read this comment, mind sending some nudes?
Sillypugpugpugpug@reddit
You’re right, arguably social media is worse.
bonkykongcountry@reddit
Okay 😂
mrSalema@reddit
can you cite some?
jayenatior@reddit
Why do I have to cite them?
These aren't baseless claims, just use Google or YouTube.
In fact there's a whole podcast about how porn is overall a net negative.
mrSalema@reddit
That's exactly what someone doing baseless claims would say.
jayenatior@reddit
Your kidding right? You can't actually be serious. They aren't baseless claims. Go and Google it your self. I'm not looking them for someone that hasn't brothered to ask them selfs or understand why porn is a net negative to your health.
mrSalema@reddit
Here's the Google Scholar search using the prompt "effect of porn on health":
https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C5&q=effect+of+porn+on+health&btnG=
Not a single article concludes that porn is unhealthy.
You're full of shit.
slipstitchy@reddit
Try “pornography consumption health”
mrSalema@reddit
I don't think I will. If you have a study in mind feel free to share though.
jayenatior@reddit
No I'm not
mrSalema@reddit
You evidently are.
I was actually intrigued by your claim and curious to read the studies you claimed existed. I gave you the opportunity to share those studies. Since you're so full of shit, you obviously don't have them. So I went out of my way to look for them, but couldn't find them (big surprise).
You can die on that hill if you want, but you'll just make a fool of yourself.
Don't expect another reply if your next comment doesn't contain a study substantiating your claim. So there, I'll allow you to have the last word. Cheers
jayenatior@reddit
I'm really not
baxil@reddit
Damn, dude. Have you considered maybe enjoying some porn, instead of staying here trying to repeat schoolyard comebacks as if they make you look any less humiliated?
There’s some peer-reviewed research linked a few comments back which says that that would be healthier than… whatever it is you’re trying to accomplish.
jayenatior@reddit
No why would I ever go against that. Enjoy some porn?
That's like insulting my self. Why would I do that. Plus I get black luck whenever I would do that in the past.
Have you ever considered, no let's just not, just why would I consider enjoying porn when it will net me nothing good. So please don't project that.
Also most studies that are pro porn are likely backed by the porn industry, so what's wrong with pointing out that porn isn't good for you when it actually isn't.
At this point we have too much evidence to state that porn isn't good for you, either consuming it or creating. I'm not out saying let's outlaw porn or banned it.
Why do people have to play mental gymnastics for porn it's not that hard to understand.
baxil@reddit
You keep saying there is all this evidence porn is bad. And yet there is exactly one person in this thread who has supported their position with evidence, and it’s not you.
Maybe porn actually is bad! Or maybe it’s not! I don’t know, I’m not an expert. But there are experts out there, and when I run across something I don’t know much about, I’d like to know what the experts think, instead of some random dude on YouTube who could literally just be turning on a camera and making up smart-sounding lies.
Asking for sources is a really basic way to compare the arguments you hear on unfamiliar topics. When people ask you, they are doing you a favor: they WANT to know more about the argument you are making. (And because both you and your opponent are wasting your time if your evidence is the “dude trust me” YouTube guy.) Help them learn more.
I hear you saying that porn has been bad for you in the past. That’s fine. It’s important for you to know what is healthy for yourself! But it doesn’t work like that for everyone, and if you’re saying that porn is bad FOR EVERYONE, you have to use evidence instead of just assuming everyone is the same.
jayenatior@reddit
You've a got a fair point, lots of them in fact.
I gotta stop banking on people doing their own digging on stuff online.
cacheson@reddit
I went to Google and searched for "is porn bad for you". The only results that came up were basically either religious propaganda like "Fight the New Drug", or wishy-washy pop science articles with nothing stronger than "hints" that porn "may be" bad for you. The most useful thing said was that porn isn't an ideal substitute for proper sex education, which should be pretty obvious.
You started off with a pretty strong claim:
And then left us hanging here. Please, do educate on this supposed scientific consensus.
jayenatior@reddit
I'll go as far and state Google search sucks these days, and porn makes money. So that information is supressed due it effecting peoples bottom line and money.
I'd rather encourage people to figure out why porn is a overall net negative, I didn't come to the conclusion overnight. But overall it weakness alot to a person. Plus if your adult, what's the point of watching other people have sex when it's likely that you have an able body to do that and figure out how to get some your self even if it's a while, in a relationship, etc.
cacheson@reddit
Hey, where did the goal posts go? I could have sworn they were right around here...
Anyway, no, there is no "secret, suppressed evidence that THEY don't want you to know about!!!" either. If there were strong evidence found that porn was significantly harmful, there's a fairly substantial portion of society that would never let us hear the end of it.
Porn was formerly seen as deviant, but that's changed in recent decades. Watching porn is a normal activity that many normal people engage in. Conservative, religious people don't like change, so they try to convince the rest of us that there's some great danger here. Some people (presumably you) are convinced by those arguments, and repeat them, despite not being conservative or religious themselves.
Speaking of relationships, good sex is an important component of a successful relationship. Sex is better when the people involved know what they like and are able to communicate that with each other. And it turns out that porn is a pretty effective way of figuring out what you like.
It's starting to sound like you found porn to be detrimental specifically to you. There may have been some other underlying problem that was occurring. For example, if you're not going out and socializing or doing much else because you're spending all your time watching porn, you might just be depressed, rather than actually addicted to the porn. Might be something worth talking to a therapist about.
In any case though, there's nothing wrong with abstaining from porn. If you find that your life is better without it for whatever reason, then more power to you. Just try not to generalize your own experience to everyone else, as circumstances can vary wildly.
jayenatior@reddit
I don't think watching porn is a normal thing or desire
cacheson@reddit
You can think that if you want, but it's not true by any reasonable definition of normal, considering the overwhelming popularity of porn. Even if it were harmful, "abnormal" is no longer an applicable word.
jayenatior@reddit
Watching people have sex to get off is abnormal.
cacheson@reddit
Ok dude, sorry about your hangups. ¯\_ツ_/¯
Chalky_Pockets@reddit
Wow, you must have watched a ton of porn to come up with a comment that braindead lol
bonkykongcountry@reddit
Porn brain rot redditors mad that I’m speaking the truth.
sportingpineapple@reddit
Maybe just stop watching porn?
What-you-thinking@reddit
Why aren’t you answering the question?
sportingpineapple@reddit
Because redditors are addicted to porn and they need to hear from people that aren't to stop normalizing it
hobophobe42@reddit
But it is normal.
sportingpineapple@reddit
Doesnt make it good
cochorol@reddit
Does it make it bad?
sportingpineapple@reddit
What an inane question. Normative is normative. There is no value implied by something being "normal". Killing jews was "normal" for many in Nazi Germany.
SadButterscotch2@reddit
Okay, well, you can obviously explain reasons why genocide is objectively bad and shouldn't be normal.
What you get out of porn depends heavily on the attitude you bring to it. Someone who has a healthy relationship with their sexuality, is educated about sex, and respects women will not watch porn and automatically be damaged by it. There's nothing inherently wrong with porn.
You can acknowledge the mainstream porn industry is abusive, you can acknowledge children without proper sex ed are being exposed to porn too early, you can acknowledge some people use porn as a coping mechanism and get addicted to it. None of that equates to "porn rots your brain."
sportingpineapple@reddit
Unfortunately for you and everyone who upvoted you, you couldn't be more wrong
hobophobe42@reddit
Haha yeah, it makes it awesome!

Don't listen to that other idiot attempting to virtue signal.
I still think Reddit is the best site for porn. The recent crackdown ended up banning a ton of niche subreddits for being unmoderated, but many new ones have risen up.
It really depends on your kink. Chaturbate has some good, live stuff. OnlyFans has content for literally everyone. Bing is the best search engine for finding porn. And of course there's always PornHub, xHampster etc..

As far as I know, Reddit is the best place to find porn, but I use other websites to find more porn:
The websites everybody already knows: I will not cite them because the user Mina1337 already did that
The old way, simply use the search engine of your preference (Google, Duck Duck Go, Bing, Yandex, whatever) to browse unknown websites.
Yandex's reverse image search engine: I just use the images I got and use them to search for more similar images. Yes, I know you looking for videos, but you can use an addon like "Search by Image" ^[Chrome] ^[Firefox] to search through images from videos.
