How do you track your website visitors?

For my wordpress websites i use WP Statistic plugin but it doesn't seem very accurate. What are you using to track your website visitors?

I'm using asksquid, solid customer assistance too!

We are using LeadsNavi for visitors tracking, that is working well

Do you have a US-based traffic on your website?
There's this cool platform called RB2B which allows you to identify visitors on your website.
It's primary reason why I want to start focusing on US market more now with my low-code development agency. (ability to know exactly who is visiting your website and then approach on LinkedIn right away is quite amazing)

Matomo that’s running on my home k3s cluster
Visitor ID’s are randomized, I’m only interested on what page people are going to and how they got there
Happy to answer any questions

Do you think it's worth the complex setup? I went with seline.so - it's a very straightforward tool, and it's also privacy-centric.
chin_waghing@reddit
Yeah I want to self host it because I’m a self hoster and wanted to store my visitors data on servers I can physically touch at home
I’ll have a look at seline tho, thanks

I use Cloudflare web analytics that comes proxied with domain with no setup and Plausible analytics. They both work pretty great. Cloudflare also has insights about robots, possible stopped attacks, bandwidth saved from cache etc, while Plausible is for more features that Cloudflare doesn't provide.
Is-Not-El@reddit
I use the Cloudflare statistics and we never run WP without a WAF and avoid plugins not written internally. Frankly we should probably move away from WP.

If you simply must use Wordpress, and the production site doesn't require any interaction beyond the Wordpress backend, consider having the full site in dev/staging and pushing a "Static" version of it to production (such as with wget --spider or some tool that can do this.)

I'm in the process of migrating from using webalizer to goaccess for my Apache logs, might be worth a look. For a quick analysis it can visually show a log with ncurses in a shell console. For a nice HTML view it can produce that too.

Umami, it's cookieless, so you will comply with the GDPR.

It looks like the main site is gone. I'll have to fix that link.
renerthr@reddit
You will have to fix it? Are you creator of www/analog ?
johnklos@reddit
No, I'm not, but I can update things inside of pkgsrc, such as the project's home page.
rubiblu@reddit
You can use Canarytokens https://canarytokens.org/generate
xiongchiamiov@reddit
There are a wide variety of options varying from free to very very expensive.
What is your budget? What information are you trying to get?
renerthr@reddit
Three dollars per month. Any small amount of information is fine.

google adsense was good, but it started to be inaccurate when visitors with adblock would just block it.

Google analytics provides more than enough information for me.

Google Analytics and GDPR still seems to be a mess. Wouldn't look there if I was involved with EU, though most websites would be too insignificant for it to be an issue.
