Is all you do yell at vendor support and try to get normal pricing now?

Been doing this since 1997 (well technically I am not a sysadmin anymore but once people find out you are the solution they never stop using you) anyway... It seems like my job used to be learning new things, automating, optimizing, fixing, etc. Now it seems like all I do is spend time in vendor ticketing systems waiting for the time to expire to escalate a ticket or trying to get Dell not to take 60%+ markups on commodities. Its tedious and unfufilling. I was shocked at how bad both Cisco's products and their support have become especially IOS XR. They literally Google your question and send you the first result. Veeam releases 12.1 and then immediately sends out a "Hurray we are raising prices!" email, then 12.1 breaks everything. Still waiting for resolution 9 days later. Its tiring.
