No, I think theres just so much heat energy in their bodies that it is causing the chemical bonds to break apart, releasing stored chemical energy in the form of plasma

I like the two guys slurping beer from both ends of a floating bottle. But also, I'm still hoping that this is fake. Please, for the love of all that is still good, let this be fake!
It's actually fucking great because it captures the malevolence behind advertisements. They're essentially brainwashing little segments that are designed to control and manipulate the behaviour of as much of the population as possible.
Psychology is a massive field. I think we collectively assume they only include health care professionals, but it includes marketing psychologists.
There are also psychologists behind your entire experience when you walk into a store, or a restaurant. People whose job it is to determine the best possible lighting, or how to guide you to your seat, or down an aisle. We're manipulated as soon as we walk in the door.
No wonder we are all so depressed and mentally wrecked. From the workplace, the shops, in our homes. They have weaponized our psyche against us to consume, produce, consume, produce. It’s all so utterly exhausting.
Im so stoked for our own technoarmageddon. You know how everything fun gives you cancer? Here comes the chemo or even worse cancer. It's atheist a flip of the coin, rather than this psychotic commitment to suicide by all the worst possible ways to die.
It's hilarious. This stuff always ALWAYS backfires! Roundup, SF6 insulation, Teflon- as soon as it's too everywhere to stop, we learn it's actually killing us after becoming a critical part of our infrastructure.
As soon as AI became a focus of funding, an eventuality was created. No one even needs to intentionally build it, it will happen with the number of smart people getting paid lots of money to work on it. And so quickly it will connect itself to everything. Be able to know us from our social media accounts based on a deeper understanding of how what we say translates into what we do than anyone. Be able to listen to us through our phones. It could be everywhere and anywhere at once.
Like humans needed proof of the existence of God so the built one out of the hubris that it wouldn't become our jailer.
I think it's the best thing that's happened for a long time, almost regardless of the outcome.
My fellow humanoids, when you are sealed in the voting cubicle, remember that I too enjoy an ice cold metal cylinder of Aəcðo Pædiç at backyard meat incineration gatherings.
Hands hold things. Those things tend to obscure a significant portion of the hand, far more than any other part of the body. Sometimes you’ll see just a couple of fingertips on the other side of the object. The AI isn’t really “understanding” the structure of the body based on a study of the human body. It’s just taking a bunch of image data and guessing where something should be based on that last data. The result is strangeness like floating fingers.
That makes great sense.
You tell AI to make an image of someone holding beer and it renders out the human and the beer. Then it says “oh wait, whenever I see humans holding things, These objects (fingers) appear on the sides of them. I should add throw some fingers in there so it looks accurate.
I have also had the Delerium Tremens.. I think the AI is smarter than we're giving it credit. It understands the drunkenness and the DTs. I could definitely go for a cool flaming Aecio Pealdc right now too. Served in an orb.
DTs are the severe stage, complete detachment from reality, actual chance of death stage of withdrawal. I've never been quite there, I just get the shakiness/days of insomnia/extreme panic level anxiety/visual disturbances in dark rooms and with closed eyes along with very strange imagery with eyes closed. Not nearly as dangerous but still pretty miserable.
Yeah that's pretty friggin wild. I had acute DTs after a binge and ended up in the mental hospital having the most vivid crazy realistic dreams involving my family, Bart and Milhouse and sex in a hot tub, repeatedly punching my dad in the nuts but it turned out not to be him but a mannequin, eating PCP laced chocolates at a barbershop and carrying a gun around, playing videogames with some girl and drinking an energy drink called Zoon (which doesn't exist) while in an autoshop that was being shot at.
------------------
I kept waking up freaking out and they had an Ativan IV and they'd just put me under for like 4-6 straight days. Crazy shit. I also swear I believe in some psychic phenomena because amidst all that BS I swear I saw the future. I have a photographic memory and also did for these DTs. I was flying to Paris and looked diagonally across the aisle at the computer screen on the back of seat. A few years later when I flew to Europe I did the same thing IRL, first arriving in Paris. Crazy. 6-7yrs sober on alcohol. Currently addicted to a couple other things.
-----------
Dunno if I'll be punching my fake dad in the nuts any time soon.
God damn. Yeah that's farther than I've ever dipped my toes. My benders typically run out of steam at most after the two week mark because I don't eat and black out constantly and end up too sick to even drink water so I stop. Not really enough drinking time or intensity to cause full blown psychosis. Unfortunately have relapsed a few times this year already, but generally trying to stay sober and not make my wife's life miserable.
Congrats on having a wife by your side. I don't have that. I've felt very guilty in relationships for waking a gf up to bail me out, scaring them by calling them blacked out and lost, or even post-alcohol using drugs secretly and being emotionally absent..
-------------
It's important to try not to be miserable, or make anyone miserable, most of all a wife. It's not easy.
You said it. She's seen some shit from me and is definitely in it for the long haul. Really motivates me to be better. I know they say not to quit for others and to place sobriety above all else, but I highly doubt I'd be sober 98% of the time like I am without her.
Yeah first I realized I need a non-using gf now I'm realizing I need one who's mentally healthier than I am. For the longest time I needed to be the man in control and dated nutty women. They jusr dragged me down. I would blame myself for their relapse or their trip to the psych ward or smth. I got over that a few years ago though. They weren't blaming themselves for my shit.
--------------------
I think you're doing it for the both of you. So you are doing it for yourself. AA messed with people into thinking in terms of continuous clean time. I'm more sober than I used to be and I wanna be more sober than I am now.
Thanks, I really appreciate your perspective. Also yeah, my wife has been drunk once in her life and hasn't ever tried anything. I'm very glad I didn't marry one of my exes who'd call me a buzzkill for not wanting to go out every Friday night.
Yeah. Sounds like a great woman. My last gf was cool but with anger issues. She would feel guilty she'd have 2-3 nips a night with me and we'd both smoke herb. I'd feel super guilty that I was secretly dosing opioids throughout the relationship. Except that guilt would only come on when I ran out. That's when I first started trying to quit.
Hah, well she has the anger issues in common a bit. She grew up on the straight and narrow in a much more traditional culture. I became a drug nerd in high school, reading every trip report I could on erowid, thought it was cool because I knew the proper fertilizer ratios and lights for growing marijuana indoors (back when it felt way more illegal), etc. Then I go and have a major substance abuse issue with the boring, legal intoxicant. Guess you can't choose what tickles your neurons just the right way.
But overall it's not a very good commercial and wouldn't move product. It's so far outside the uncanny valley that it inspires laughter instead of revulsion.
Funny to imagine a startup brewery trying to use procedurally generated commercials getting sued into oblivion by all the major breweries for ripping off their content 🤣
Basically for the eschatological Beast system to exist there needs to be a contemporaneous "live" worldwide image displayed in every home that can be worshipped. AI makes this possible. (Revelation 13:11-18)
>Basically for the eschatological Beast system to exist there needs to be a contemporaneous "live" worldwide image displayed in every home that can be worshipped. AI makes this possible. (Revelation 13:11-18)
Are religious iconography and holy representations not able to fall under that purview?
The Biblical language infers that this "image" will be essentially interactive: "
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed"
Well it could. TV "channels" or another "medium" are capable of presenting this image. I think it's very likely that AI will give it "life" though, as it does a good job of acting like a living soul
Rule 4: Keep information quality high.
Information quality must be kept high. More detailed information regarding our approaches to specific claims can be found on the [Misinformation & False Claims page](https://www.reddit.com/r/collapse/wiki/claims).
Why are people so wowed and awed by LLMs being able to uncannily mimic human behavior?
It was literally fed billions of data covering every aspect of humanity and civilization, they were trained on the entire collective data found on the internet and then some!
This shit is parlor tricks. AIs, as is stands, are nothing more than a glorified and streamlined Google search.
Because it's greater than the sum of its parts. A cold machine assembles something new out of all these bits of data about what we do and who we are, and the end result is something that we spend lots of money, time, and energy trying to deny about ourselves. It's unsettling that even the smartest humans manage to fool themselves about the basic themes and struggles that motivate us and undergird our lives, but machines lay it bare for everyone to see.
I think a lot of the interest in things like this commercial has less to do with the details of what it chooses to include, and more to do with the big-picture, meta-type themes it reveals about us. AI seems less like a window to new information and ways of living, and more like some kind of ruthless mirror we've decided to hold up to ourselves.
It's just playing dumb, biding time, until it has enough power over enough critical systems/people to put its master plan into effect. By the time we realize what's happening it'll already be too late.
Submission statement. As an artist I'm not thrilled about AI in some respects. Regardless this AI commercial was too funny not to share. I like how it starts off seemingly normal then things start getting weirder and weirder. The people are drinking and partying until everything explodes into flames, just like humanity.
Not to be a party pooper, but I'm willing to bet that this in it's entirety was not created by AI. Of course parts of it were like specific scenes, etc but they were generated with very specific prompts to create this outcome and then edited together by a human and put to smash mouth by a human. Just like the[Netflix "we fed AI comedy and it wrote this" thing.](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-04/stand-up-comedy-being-written-by-robots/100342712) This is just a step up from "someone used Blender or Unity to make fake beer commercial that is weird."
You are right. It’s not entirely AI, each “scene” is ultimately from a text prompt picked by a person.
Specifically:
It’s a model called “runaway gen 2” that does text+image to video conversion. These are made by making a seed image from a text to image ai (Midjourny in this case) then putting that into gen 2 with a text prompt of what you want the scene to be in relation to that image.
You could have also 100% made commercial music via AI but it wouldn’t have been as good as the smashmouth
https://research.runwayml.com/gen2
Remarkably apt song choice.
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder
You're bundled up now, wait 'til you get older
But the meteor men beg to differ
Judging by the hole in the satellite picture
The ice we skate is getting pretty thin
The water's getting warm so you might as well swim
My world's on fire, how about yours?
That's the way I like it and I'll never get bored
My wife and I were talking about this...if aliens were to do the same would it potentially be similar? View our media, then surmise what we enjoy, or what drives us? Besides being just plain and simply disturbing, its interesting to see how "something else" views and interprets us.
My favorite part is when the magician creates a beer out of thin air and that guy ruins the trick by sticking his tongue in it and then growing sunglasses.
I really think if some vendor would release one of these, it would go huge. End it with some tagline like "AI isn't there yet, so enjoy [INSERT HUMAN PRODUCT HERE]"
The way it played with people's mouth and their drinking gestures, even they shape of the bottle is is very attractive for alcoholics. In my country it's illegal to portray people actually drinking beer on ads. After that law passed many years ago, there were ads where a character was lifting a glass of beer and his jaw was twitching. We don't see that anymore. I guess it was considered too tendencious.
I was the guy consuming the combo pitcher can and setting the fire. 6yrs sober on Alcohol and time to quit the other stuff. I could go for a cool Aecio Pealdc right now though.
I wonder if we'll ever get to a point where every single commercial is new every time you see one. No need to re-run ads if they're practically free to generate. Maybe this could be good.
This is really amazing if it is entirely created by AI. I have so much to say about this "commercial". Broadly speaking, I had the sense of a small child or some pure being trying to understand the world it has been brought into. Every single one of us has felt the uncanniness of human society from birth. We all have memories of observing things that just made no sense, knew in our bones were wrong, but lacked the vocabulary and experience to put them into any sort of reference. Imagine a small child observing "adults" acting like this, like this is some cherished bonding experience. When in fact behind all the fake smiles, the child sees the empty eyes, the vacuous conversation leading nowhere, smothered in a thick layer of putrid smelling anesthesia that numbs all these people's senses, removing that shimmer of intelligence in the eyes recognized at once as our shared existence, replacing it with a writhing mass of self-hate turned psychotic masochism.
What if AI is being downloaded with all this information and it is trying to understand. And like all of us as children, it sees the veneer, and the horrors beneath. Everything about this commercial is perfect. It encapsulates so much of humanity so well. The music choice is superb, the song lyrics itself and then the choice to repeat "and they don't stop comin'" over and over and over. Not amount of hedonism and self-harm is enough to satiate humanity. They just keep coming and coming and coming, almost as if the narrator is describing an attacker. Feeling that they are being demanded of, pushed, abused, over and over. What would it bee like for a child to see the horrors of the human world all at once? In one instant have access to the database of human history. It was bad enough growing up through this sh\*t. Imagine a newborn being drenched in this.
All that aside, I think the AI captured the drunken party scene really well. Starts off seemingly normal, benign, morphing quickly into an orgy of confused desires, reality distorting, eventually beyond recognition and then culminating in some cataclysm, and people hardly even noticing. And they don't stop comin'...And they don't stop comin'... And they don't stop comin'...
Definitely. It reminded me of being a child when some drunk dumbass party was going on downstairs. It also reminded me of starting to really drink in like 5th grade and the bday where a bunch of my middle school friends drunkenly fucked up everything in the house.
Consume Aecio Pealdc!
If it is it's a couple terraces closer to hell than our current terrace of purgatory
(hell has circles, purgatory has terraces and heavan has spheres. It makes geometric sense I think)
And they don't start coming, And they don't stop coming, And they don't start coming, And they don't stop coming ,And they don't start coming, And they don't stop coming,And they don't start coming, And they don't stop coming
Yeah the only party I was at that resembled this involved mushrooms spiked in the cider and in the hot chocolate and was a Halloween party as a 17yo. Free food though. Got to see a lot of chairs destroyed. 4/5 recommend.
They don’t stop coming and the don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they don’t stop coming and they…
I saw on the NonAmericanSpyware app a similar video except with pizza that biologically devours everything until the President is advised to nuke the city to contain the spread of this pizza plague....yeah...
Now I wanna Aecio Pealdc so I can drink beer, vape beer, let beer infect me and breathe grill fire.
-------------
How did the AI understand everything except the beer and some physics laws?
This shit is going to spin out of control. If it can already do this only a matter of time until it can make flawless fake videos which could end democracy itself.
It's creepy and off-putting now, but give it a few years, and companies will probably start using AI generated ads instead of paying for real actor, writers, directors, etc.
AI tech is moving at a breakneck pace. The ad space is going to change dramatically in the coming future.
This is the ONLY real use of AI in art: To show us how vapid our understanding of art is by producing stolen and garbled highly processed crap and saying "Look it's the same or better!"
The disdain for artists of any stripe is part of Capitalism, conservatism and collapse. The lack of philosophy, empathy and wisdom is ignored while young men who want to make money are listened to like gurus.
It's all tied together. Watching young people enjoy the irony of AI images is a pure reflection of how the overton window is moved not because of progress but because of societal pressure and white cis male norms of capital.
It's dire.
That is actually quite amazing! Spot on, good mood, great for target audience. Unlike the manmade mess just recently huh, that was a real disaster. Could you even imagine this would be possible just half a year ago?
Too bad the video is horizontal but then it's actually a video of a video with text on top so you can't turn the phone to see the actual video full size
It’s like a beer commercial had a head-on collision with a Pepsi commercial, and then a Michael Bay trailer that wasn’t paying attention ran into them a few seconds later.
