When I was a kid I was obsessed with these. I wrote to James Gurney with a drawing I had done and he responded with a letter and a sketch of a protoceratops. I still have it. Absolutely legendary.

I loved that book. They made a live action short series but it wasn't that great.

When i was a kid i got a childrens book for christmas called the velveteen rabbit. It was written by Margery Williams. Its an old book from 1922 and has been reprinted and illustrated by different artists many times. But the one i got every page had the most gorgeous artwork. Must have been oil paintings. What a masterpiece. Wish i still had it.
