Holes 4-6 , with a pair of piercing earrings from Claire's. Just punched em through. I've since let those three holes close up, though, because I wear a headset at work and it pushes the posts into my head.
My mom did mine with a sewing needle, ice, and a potato when I was 8. Took me an hour or so to work up the nerve to let her do the 2nd ear, the ice really didn't numb it enough.
I went to an actual piercer this year when I decided I wanted my upper lobes and helix pierced. It was a much better experience! The flat back labrets they use now are so much nicer than those awful butterfly backs!

When my niece was born, I did joke that I would take her and my Mexican grandmother to the mall just so we could "watch" the other babies get their ears pierced. My grandmother was so totally onboard with this, and was considerable let down when my sister was adamant that this will not be happening.
Friends gave me a third hole with a safety pin when we were in HS. I pierced another friend's ear that way when we were in college. We "steralized" the pin with a lighter beforehand.
A girl I was dating wussed out on #1 and insisted we do it at the mall. #’s 2, 3 and 4 I did with a little help from my old pal Jack Daniel. TBH, the gun at the Piercing Pagoda was way worse than just jamming it through.
That’s how I did my boyfriend’s at the same age. He joined the military after we got married and had to keep taking it out, the forgot to put it back in so it closed. I offered to do it again, but he declined.
There were so many things I should have done that didn’t. Apparently people used a potato to catch the needle and back. I did not do that. I think I used some rubbing alcohol to sterilize it, I hope… But I don’t know. I didn’t use ice.it was quite a difficult task, so I’m still pretty proud of myself for having accomplished it.
Oh I realized halfway in that it was a very bad idea, but I’m no quitter, so I pushed through (literally). I think I used vodka to “sterilize it” and then got vodka up my nose. Not my finest hour.
The first ear piercing was at a kiosk at the mall. The next three I did myself with a lighter, rubbing alcohol and the sharpest needle in my mom’s sewing kit. No infection on any of them.
Yeah we used to get drunk at my parents lakehouse and just shove the earing thorough our ear. We were listening to LL Cool J..."it's jinglin baby...go ahead baby" lol.

No, had one ear done after a couple of beers as a freshman in HS with a safety pin, by a SR girl. My dad saw it the next morning and said something along the lines of, you or I can take that out. I took it out. Different times.
My mom took me to a jewelry store to get my ears pierced when I was 13. About a year later, I decided I needed another hole in my left ear, and pierced my own in my bathroom. I numbed my earlobe with an ice cube and pierced it with a safety pin. Never had any problem.
Yes. In Spanish class. I’m a child of the 80s so I had four in one ear and two in the other. I don’t use all those pierces anymore but they are still there, discretely waiting for the Madonna/ Cindy Lauper revival. 😉
Nope but I tried to pierce my own belly button using my mom‘s ear piercing kit. Ended up slowly passing out on the kitchen floor, surrounded by my friends ha ha ha.
Both ears several times, nose, and nipples.
I had one ear pierce go bad because I did it with a safety pin at a party and just left it in. All the others were fine though.
