Why have you not started supplementing vitamin D yet?

I started taking them and feel amazing. I only got cheap ones from Aldi too. Anyone else had a good results or can share some of the benefits?

Because vitamin supplements tend to do nothing unless you have a deficiency. Personally I'd rather have a varied diet and get enough sun

A huge proportion of British people are deficient because in winter it's simply very hard to get enough sun. It's weak when it's out and if you work it can be dark when you go out and dark when you come back. A brief walk in weak sun at lunch time will struggle to deliver the vit D we need.

It's very difficult to get enough sun in the UK in the winter. Pretty much impossible if you work indoors during the day.

Or work nights and sleep during the day.

NHS recommend you taking vitamin D supplements in winter just due to our climate. I guess it depends how far south you are. I don't supplement other vitamins but do occasionally take omega 3, hyluronic acid and hydrolysed collagen supplements as all modern longevity research proves it's amazing

How much Vit D should I be blasting as a pasty Scotsman?

I just take the one 25Ug one a day from Aldi, it's important not to take too much as you don't pee out vitamin D as it's fat soluble. It's also recommended to have it with a meal containing fat so it's easier absorbed. I just take it with a spoon of olive oil around breakfast time

Everyone in the U.K. should take vitamin D between the equinoxes in winter months. If you live in Scotland, you should take it all year round.

Because I keep forgetting to take them.

Same, bought some about a month ago but I only remember once a week.

I'm glad I don't have to take regular medication, I'd be dead within a week.

I manage to remember my cats daily tablet, but can never remember my own.
