Any recommendations for good company

My company sees employees as numbers. Force you to drive with Abs light, no mud flap, no 12 hr reset, many other reasons, as to this one driving with a bad battery it shut off the semi truck on the freeway with a different worker so they made me drive it without tells me. I need a company that pays good, gives second chances and dedicated routes in Ohio . Lmk plz I’m tired of feeling like this is the only option I have and I can’t go anywhere else, tired of being told that I might be lying , tired of all the bullshit man. I’m a very loyal worker and person to be dealing with narcissists.

Do no hire on with jbhunt midwest. Other regions might be good, midwest is not. Also, avoid werner and dart like the plague. Schneider was decent when i was there, but that was a decade ago.

Target FDC (food) uses 2 companies at their DC. One of them is Swift. I don't know who the other is. I worked at the Texas DC for Swift (some of our drivers filled in up there in Ohio), and it was a great dedicated account. The pay was *really* good. Home every other night and for your 34's. PC allowed to and from DC if you live close enough. You got to see your office people in person, had friends / acquaintances. Could park at your Target stores because it was a branded trailer, which is great if you live near one. I highly recommend.

First off, welcome to America, specifically, welcome to corporate America. I'd say at least 80% if not 95% of the places you will ever work are going to see you as driver #920592. No one can force you to drive a CMV that is unsafe to operate. You have the right to refuse to operate an unsafe vehicle. Mudflaps are not required on a tractor as long as you are pulling a trailer, if I remember correctly. It's 10 hours off between shifts, unless Ohio does something different that I am not aware of. A total reset is 34 hours off. Are you saying that you drove a CMV that a previous driver had an issue with, and that issue was not resolved? Did that driver notify the company? A company can not force you to drive a truck in an unsafe condition, and if the previous driver did not do a pre, and post trip and report any issues, then you should make sure you are reporting them. The only person who is going to take care of you, your CDL, and your driving record is you. You should never operate a vehicle that is not safe to operate, and you can self report to the Ohio DOT if you feel the need to do so. You should record any and all defects in writing, with pictures to protect yourself and your license. Furthermore, how can you hope to receive any help if you don't let anyone know what your experience level and certifications are. You always have options. You may not like them. They may suck. However, you always have options. Just like I worked at Little Ceasars for 6 months because I needed a job and money. The only person who is going to look out for your own best interests in this world is you and maybe your close family. I hope you find something, and remember you have rights.
