Right above my johnny bar should be a tiny steering wheel for my trailer tandem. Imagine how easy everything would be.

Imagine if the lock on that steering failed, or if it was out of adjustment.

And imagine if you were hauling a great big steel beam, and it was a little to far to the right and caught on a concrete wall. Imagine no more! https://youtu.be/O7muD0y-atA?si=-xJ_qX220auXo3Cl

Yeah, but in this case, you have to have the steerable tandems. He just steered it wrong.

Ahh, the soothing sound of crunching metal and glass shattering...

do love me a tiller. my city has one and a bro is on it. such cool trucks - and TONS of room. our local tiller has more storage than our heavy rescue.

Pretty cool that the rear axle has steering too but otherwise pretty nice blind side backing job. Straight in first try.

Umm no. If you've got someone sitting over the trailer axle in a booth with glass on all four sides and a steering wheel for said axle and a radio to talk to you, there is no longer any such thing as blind side anything. You get credit for nothing! If you can't bang it in on the first try with all that, hang it up because you have no business driving anything. Good day sir!

Yea. If there’s someone back there this is a whole lot less impressive. They may not even need a radio after backing them in so many times and whoever is in the back knows to steer left to swing the back end around and then it’s like they are driving forward and the guy up front just has to follow behind.

We have one at work, but the firemen won't let me drive it. I thought he was going to drive into me a couple of times though at the fuel island and when backing into the firehouse.

And us idiot truckers, all this time all we needed was a driver in the back🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
