Didn’t they show up on 3-2-1 Contact?

They may have done but as an Australian, I can't say I'm familiar with the show.

Wasn’t it bad enough they were on The Muppet Show, these nightmare inducing creeps were on 321 Contact too. I wasn’t safe turning on my tv.

I LOVED them in the 70s/80s. And then I lived Blue Man Group in the 90s.

I dressed up as Mummenschanz for Halloween one year. The toilet paper version. I went out and bought some tights, fastened a helmet to a box, and glued on a toilet paper face. The people that got it had a good time with it. Those who didn't got blasted with a roll of TP.

I don't know. I just remember that they had two obviously different characters, one of whom was always being a bastard to the other like mashing in their clay face when the first was trying to make themselves pretty. I remember loving every minute of Labyrinth while a friend's kid was terrified by it. To be fair to the kid, I was mid teen when I saw Labyrinth and he was only 8 or 9 but OTOH I grew up on with grotesque and weird shit with a regular guest spot on the Muppets vs MLPony and similar saccharine-sweet nonsense later kids got.

I seem to remember them being on the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon as well.

Went and saw them with my mother in the late 70s. I was probably 6 or 7. Engaging but I think it freaked me out a bit.

We took the kids to see them in 2016. All of us loved the show.

Now it's the time on Sprockets when we dance

I always thought it was Kraftwerk that inspired Sprockets but this probably had some part in it as well.

I saw Mummenschanz live. Twice. They were great.

I LOVED them as a child, and still love watching videos of their performances. Sometimes we all might need silliness.
