Can we talk about beans on toast? I have questions!

Do you eat beans on toast? Do you cook your own beans or buy canned beans? Is there a difference between Heinz (England) and Bachelors (Ireland) beans besides price? How often do you eat them? Do you ever fancy them up? How? Do you miss them when you travel? I remember going to Palma de Majorca in the early 80s and seeing many signs advertising "Beans on Toast!" at restaurants. I was very confused (hadn't been to the UK yet).

I generally think beans on toast is fucking shit - however, last time I did it as a student… Beans Worcestershire sauce Low and slow to thicken a lot Cheese Toast and beans separately to ensure crispness, lots of butter (spreads do not count)

A can of beans (Sainsbury's low salt/sugar), heated through. A slice of nice brown bread, toasted but not blackened. Butter the toast, then pour beans on to the toast Sometimes I'll add paprika, or Worcester sauce if I'm feeling fancy, but usually I'm aiming for simplicity
