When I see it create an app that isnt a tutorial example on thousands of different webpages or does anything beyond trivial scripting I will be worried.
I'm not worried about AI slurping up the jobs, I'm worried about dumbass execs thinking it can and destroying the economy/job market trying to make AI do shit I can't.
May actually be worse if it can't actually replace us. As anti-capitalist as I can be, I do enjoy our modern world and there are many skilled jobs required to make it possible. Having those jobs and companies evaporate due to the hubris of shareholders wouldn't be a great time.
But who is going to remind the developer chatGPT to update its tickets so chatGPT director can see the project status and decide to move everything to salesforce.
I think there will be some initial high profile successes, but many many many copycat failures. In the end, it will be another useful tool in a company toolbox, but if they are training them on current and past successful executives, not good. This will be the birth of a sociopath AI.
No, if it makes profit it is going to happen. Whether AI automates these roles or not do what you love if you have decent skills you will be ahead of AI.
I also like the idea of an AI CXO I think it is the most savings a company can make. If I were to make a swarm it would be AI management partnered with skilled workers who like doing what they do and the savings would mean better payed workers and more profit.
> mean better *paid* workers and
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
When I see it create an app that isnt a tutorial example on thousands of different webpages or does anything beyond trivial scripting I will be worried.
