New project that I hope won't be much of a project.
I just got this 73 MG B GT that I hope I'll only be fixing a couple of things on like a brake line then I can enjoy it around town. My other B is the real project. Also i didn't know until seeing this one that they came in purple.

Such a beauty!! Lovely color too. If you are going to fully restore it I encourage you to paint it in that same color.

I plan on just sealing the patina.

I'm going to seal the patina and fix things as needed. It needs a couple of things fixed and a tune up then it's back on the road to enjoy it. My other B is the real project.

Is that the factory paint? I have never seen an MG that color. It’s awesome!

They are very easy, simple and fun cars. It's actually the perfect project car for a beginner.

My other one has a K20 swap so I'm keeping this one simple and stock.

I had plans to drop a SBF in it but I am actually somewhat satisfied with the power and the pushrod 4 cylinder sounds very unique.

If it doesn't already have one INSTALL AN ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTOR. That alone will solve 80% of your issues with this turd. I say turd lovingly. I had one of these and I miss it all the time, but goddamn did I get sick of changing points every few weeks.

I had a 64, which was before they used an alternator. Had to change the generator and voltage regulator every six months. Got really good at roll starting cars.

I had a purple B. It was a fun car and my first convertible.

It’s a 50 year old British car, it’s going to be a huge project. Enjoy it!
