I checked out Hidden Gym, not my vibe. Any other suggestions? How's retro fitness?

Do you mind telling me why Hidden gym was not your vibe? I saw your post and seems like were both interested in a similar gym with more functional equipment etc.. Hidden gym seemed awesome on pictures, do you mind sharing why you didn’t go for it might save me the time!

1. they have country music in their rotation. not a fan at all. 2. the major issue is they were having a kids martial arts class going on when I was there. So a lot of young kids screaming and yelling and running around. not the vibe I am looking for.

how do you like it? Been going to lifetime fitness myself and while its a nice gym, i don't think its worth the 139 a month if you just lift weights

wtf? I pay $35. The music isn't my thing most of the time, but the place is super clean, lots of staff, zero tik tok people filming.

Vibe would be more focused on strength training and functional things like kettle bells, sleds, tires to flip etc. Classes are a plus but not necessary. A calm? environment is the biggest thing. No kiddos running around, no super loud classes going on

Might want to check out Huffines or Heights Park Recreation centers. They’re pretty nice for a municipal rec. center. I think it’s like $60 a year or $15 a month if you’re a resident. Anytime Fitness in Richardson was nice and never busy. I want to say it was like $21-22 every two weeks for a 12 month plan. It’s accessible 24/7 and is in a safe area.
