Is there a non-wedding-type-ceremony for when you’ve already got married?

A Catholic "blessing" is simply a wedding. They see the wedding not as a legal thing but as the administration of a sacrament. If you're legally married in a registry office, the Catholic Church doesn't see you as having received that sacrament, meaning that going to a Catholic church for a blessing would simply be going for the religious rite. Also, if you're not Catholic, at least one of you would have to become Catholic, as it's a Catholic sacrament available only to members of that Church. If you *have* been baptized/confirmed in your youth, you might have to begin attending Mass and receive reconciliation beforehand. But then, you might not - I'm not completely clear on it as I'm not Catholic, this is just the best I understand it. The best thing to do as regard your family (if their opinions matter enough to you do influence how *you* do *your* wedding) would be a Church of England service, since the only requirement there is that you've lived within the parish boundary for six weeks or more (or you or either of your parents were confirmed there, or your parents were married there). Then again this *might* not be applicable if it's just a blessing. I would look up what parish you'd be likely to be doing it at and contacting the priest there to talk about it, if you were to do somehting along these lines. If it was a mixed marriage (one Catholic and one Protestant) it *might* be possible to have a joint blessing ceremony, but that stuff can get pretty complicated and it's something I wouldn't want to navigate.
