Learning RHCSA with kodekloud(Aaron Lockhart) or Oreilly(Sander van vugt)? which on?

Figuring out if I should go with Kodekloud/pro or Oreilly to study for RHCSA. Anyone can point me in the right direction?

I did both KodeKloud and sanders video course and book. KK was good when I did the rhel8 exam not sure if they updated for the latest. Sanders course was good too but less engaging (boring). My advice supplement with real practice in your own VM, learn the read the man pages efficiently, use YouTube for specific topics and the official red hat docs

Thanks
I just checked Kodekloud and noticed that the prep was for EX200. So will just use Sanders. can you point me in the right direction for some practice material? I will just use sanders.

Use KodeKloud their labs are really good. It’s probably just missing a bit of the newer stuff but it should still cover 80-90% of the course

I will start off with Kodekloud, and then finish off with Sanders.

Sander's material is gold standard, it helped me with ex200v9 a lot. Also, I'd strongly recommend practice tests on Udemy- these were BANG ON like I was shocked how many popped up in the exam...
kalpakdt@reddit
are those with the answers too?
do you think its worthy enough to buy iyt

I'd say yeah, especially right now NOW there is BF discount and practice exams are like 11 GBP / 14 USD... I bought those from Ghada Atef and they are updated fortnightly...so imho very good investment.

i used kodekloud and found it helpful. the lessons are clear and to the point. but you gotta put in the work and experiment on your own to really grasp the material. good luck!

Sander's course on O'Reilly + Asghar Ghori's book + Red Hat documentation + practicing provided by them labs/sample exams = pass in 4-8 weeks. Additionally on O'Reilly there were live crash courses with Sander every two months and other resources. You can try the platform for free for one week afaik to check the quality. I've no idea how is the KodeKloud, no trail.

I used the Michael Jang book(s) and was successful each time.

Sander van Vugts Exam Guide helped me a lot

I think either resource works. Pick one and study hard. For me, passing was in doing practice exams after study to see where I was getting tripped up. Use some of those and take as much time as you get on the exam, no notes, and see what slows you down and trips you up. You'll have a solid foundation for the exam and know what you need to work on and memorize for speed.

I used Sander van Vugt (both book and online course) and got free access to the materials through my local library. I enjoyed his stuff and did really well on the exam. It’s important to do the hands on stuff and use VMs with snapshots so you can practice a task, restore the VM, and then repeat.

I made the equivalent of a B on my exam by using Sanders course on O'Reilly, only a B through no fault of his own, I just didn't study as much as I could have. You know what they say though, "what do you call a doctor who made a B in Med School? You call them doctor"
He explains everything you need to know but he doesn't teach you every thing you need to know, it's expected for you to experiment on your own and learn the materials more thoroughly than he explained them, that's the reason I went with him, the lessons are short and concise.
