I dropped a Fenix flashlight down a 15' deep sewer manhole years ago. It was still lit up when I harnessed up and got lowered into the manhole to retrieve it. Worked just fine despite the fall but ended up giving it to a co-worker because I just couldn't shake the fact that it sat in sewer water that long (he knew about it and didn't care). If it's impact resistance your after then I'd probably stick to surefire, Streamlight or Fenix. There are certainly better flashlights but these can probably take a fall better than others.

I keep a streamlight wedge on me 90% of the time. I run nights and use it constantly, it's held up well so far and charges with a usb-c. Metal body seems pretty durable but I'd buy a silicone charging port cover because it doesn't have one built in

you can buy streamlight off the shelf at any napa afaik. i called and ordered one on shelf a few months back because i left mine in a customers car from out of town. just stay away from the rechargable ones, seen a lot of those crap out with actual shop use, i'd guess truckers are almost as hard on the equipment as mechanics.

Amazon sells streamlight now. I had mine for over 16 years now I did send it back a few years ago and they rebuilt it like new again for free. Check the warranty on other brands of u do buy one

I have a streamlight rechargeable it is as bright as a q beam. And has 3 settings so can be dimmed it also blinks but don’t use that. Also charges 12v or 110v. Very durable and lifetime warranty

Forgive me I read you title totally wrong… I used a little flash light called the Nircon B70z. It’s small and very bright. Iv dropped it from the truck a time or two and it’s been fine. The head swivels and is magnetic on the bottom. Been a beast of a little light for me.

Just bought a smaller mag lite. Had a incandescent mag lite thag took C batteries when I was a kid and remember it being beaten to hella and still working. Gonna buy a more expensive tac lite when my wallet can take that beating

Never knew streamlight and surefire got love like that outside the gun community. It’s awesome to see. Btw OP I’d do either of the 2 I mentioned. Great products and warranty. Built to last. Don’t get suckered by candela and lumen stats. A lot of light will claim crazy numbers but those numbers are only true for like the first 5 minutes of the lights battery life.

I have a rechargeable coast flashlight and it's been great. It's metal so it's not a problem when I drop it all the time. Has 3 brightness settings. I can also recharge it with a usb c cable without popping the batteries out. I can also pop the battery out and charge that itself and it comes with a thing that lets me use disposable batteries. So it's pretty flexible and not that expensive.

Was gonna make the same comment, Coast all day! I own a ton of Coast lights, they have a great warranty. I'm a heavy mechanic and use my Coast daily. I drop it constantly and never had an issue. My daily carry is a Coast TP9R. Absolutely love it. Bought a handful of button top 18650 batteries so I can just swap and go.

Look into a rechargeable headlamp like a miner would wear. I got mine for about $25. Love it. Plus it frees up my hands and is always aimed at what I am looking at.

I only run nights, I bought the new streamlight protac 2.0. I lost my last one, and I decided to up for the 2k lumens. Honestly it's a bit much, the light ricochets back at you something fierce. It's great for anything not up close and personal. But it's a bit too much for close quarters. The 1k is definitely the way to go in my eyes

I've got a husky the size of a maglite. 4 settings, really bright, battery lasts a long time and comes with 2 battery inserts. One for AAs and one rechargeable with a USB c cord

Look at tactical lights; I use olight (a bit overpriced) and it’s bright enough to blind people (watch where you point it) in close range at night. It’s also got a pretty strong magnetic base that I’ve left it stuck to the trailer and driven around the yard before remembering.

I dropped one of these into a 130 barrel vac truck trailer when I was cleaning it. Dug around. Couldn't find it. Bummer. Ran the trailer for another week. Oilfield production water, 10# brine, and fresh. Cleaned the tanker out and found it in the bottom. Light was beat to shit and still operational. Ended up losing the light eventually. They are tough units for sure!

i have a Slyde King but i dont think its a Nebo brand unless they used to not put Nebo on them. its bright as hell. it recharges via a micro usb cord which is the only downside i wish it was usb-c. the magnet on the base is really strong its not going to fall off anything easily. and ive dropped mine on blacktop from about 6ft or so multiple times and never had problems with it. i actually bought mine at FYDA freightliner in lexington ky one day when we were getting parts there but its been bought and rebranded as Velocity Freightliner. dont remember the price maybe somewhere around 50 dollars? i would recommend that one myself.
