What is the best deal on a gun you ever got?

Not exactly what you asked OP but this is the closest I have to what you asked. This is the best deal I ever made selling a gun. I’ll preface this story by saying I don’t sell guns often but sometimes you have to do what you have to do and that’s that. After my dad passed I inherited all his guns. Now mind you I was not very old when he died (16) and while I do have guns of my own I don’t have many. My family also wasn’t in the best financial shape and many of the guns my dad had were more collectors items than practical pieces as many of the ones he owned had been inherited from my grandfather who was an avid collector. I kept a lot of them but some I either didn’t particularly like or knew I wouldn’t be able to care for in the long term and decided it would be best to sell them. Well anyways cut to a few years down the line and my one of the guys my sister is dating at the time asks to buy a .44 Smith and Wesson revolver he knew we had (because apparently my sister was incapable of not telling people about shit). I didn’t particularly like him but I also didn’t particularly like the revolver in question as it was built for someone with much larger hands than me and I could barely shoot it. I knew at the time it was worth probably 6-800$ tops from doing some research on it and I expected him to offer somewhere in the 5-700$ range. Nope this moron says “I’ll buy it for two grand”, and I was 100% sold after that offer. So went and did the transfer through an FFL because screw having the police come knocking on my door if he does something stupid with that gun and I have not regretted it for a moment.
