We all know the answer is 42 but do any of you know why?

Thats more like it and restored a little faith in our species, though that may be due to me posting before many have poured a preferable liquid that reduces the hive mind state. The addition of the answer being correct for any other species on this plant least the species across our galaxy is another red herring. Douglas warned us of those who'll speak in forked tongues with the phrase 'So long and thanks for all the fish'. Its one that has three meanings in his work and in this instance he's using his style of humor to say thanks for all the fun I've had and take care because I've added the red herrings to catch out those who aren't yet tuned to catch them. By tuned I don't mean in a Hubbard fashion more the click you hear in your brain when it all makes sense. More like another wackjob cult that say one hundred and forty thousand are anointed to join God/Jesus to run heaven, but only the individuals know who they are. It doesn't matter if you fake it or are real because 42 doesn't give a monkeys toss and makes nature, the laws of physics, thermodynamics and the really important one look as caring as the worlds best mum. What I'm saying is its impossible to explain the click or how to do it or the trigger as each and every one of us has plenty of faulty wiring up top so each of us has an alien like experience. That maybe just the men as its nigh on impossible to get that group to talk freely and openly without the consumption of mind changing substance or going for a walk in the countryside. The JW reference is a hint, not that JW or any religion has anything to do with the answer to the ultimate question but due to my inability to consume anything from the sea apart from salt and the symbolism of a lot of the species in the water. The conundrums and angst that will inevitably plague a higher mind be it a digital one or a chemical/digital hybrid over the ridiculous obsessions of humans was all explored via Marvin so as to free up the other characters for other enlightenments. I could be wrong but it does keep things a bit tidier and makes it easier for us simple humans to keep track. Like how a decent radio play will have actors using different voices so its easier for the listener to keep track of the story without getting muddled of the who said what. If Deep Thought had a failing from a human point of view its answer could never be completely trusted by all and sundry. Plus I'm sure Deep Blue has Solitaire and Minesweeper installed and uses the flashing lights and bleeps to make us feel comfortable due to our ability to worry over the inconsequential that proves a perpetual motion engine is theoretically possible.
