Intel Smart Sound USB driver v10.29.0.7799 is causing issues on certain models of our Dell laptops.

Wanted to post this as a heads up, in case anyone else stumbles across it. The issue is that USB audio devices with microphones attached directly to the laptop will show that no microphone input is available. If you are looking at the old Sound control panel, you will see the microphone entry but no level meter off to the right. The fix was to rollback the driver to the previous version, in our case .6815 version.
