Are we heading for a significant recession?

I've seen this before. I work for a large UK manufacturing firm and things are getting very very tight. You can see it through the whole supply chain. People we sell too have too much stock and can't sell anything, all of our suppliers are desperate to move stock and can't sell anything. Lots of our industry and supply chain are working on reduced hours... The last time I remember it being this bad was post 2008. My partner works in a completely different sector and she's reporting much of the same. How are things in your industry? Are we heading for another big recession?
